I did, because I didn’t want a turbo CX7 that needed premium gas and AWD for that once in a winter snow storm.

lol me too, i translated that into, “ Im a raging selfish cunt everywhere I go and you guys had the balls to stand up to me! how dare , do you know who i am? im ashley!”

i wondered about that, does this mean alaska is not magnetic, becuase it doesnt stick to the rest of the magneted states? lol

One opened literally down the street from our house in South Austin. We can literally walk there (biking is easier). Life has improved.

I’ve texted in all the other theaters in Austin...”

OMG, holy shit, never saw this before. The “MAGANITED STATES OF AMERICA!” part sure was eerily prophetic...

That whole PSA at the beginning of movies is apparently wasted.

After listening to that, I really wish there was an Alamo Drafthouse here.

They’re doing the Lord’s work.

You’re godsdamned right!

So entitled. Just like the woman at my kids graduation that told people they could not sit in the four rows surrounding her (in the best viewing spot) because she was saving it for family. I confronted her but she felt that no one cared but me. She didn’t even need all the space she tried to save either. I believe

I like how she starts off saying she didn’t know she wasn’t supposed to text and then in the next sentence says she was just using her phone as a flashlight to find her seat, then goes back to talking about texting and saying she wasn’t bothering anyone because the sound was turned down.

Mr. BK has been known to almost lose his shit when someone opens their phone during a movie. If I see a phone light up, I try to get in there with a stern, “Please turn that off” before he manages to go, “TURN THAT FUCKING THING OFF!”

One thing to note is that, besides completely off, there is no acceptable brightness level for a phone screen in a theater.

Turn the cinema into an RF/faraday cage, or employ frequency flooders/jammers. No signal = problem solved.

Especially when the best experience is getting a whole theater room to yourself.  It’s my biggest incentive to watch a movie that’s been out for 7 weeks and is basically on it’s last showing.

I honestly never got the appeal. If I go to a movie theater it’s going to be on Saturday morning and the movie will have been out for 3 weeks. I want the place to myself.

People talk about the communal experience of seeing a movie in the theater as opposed to at home- how important that is to the art form etc etc...

This comment looks like two people having sex.

See, with the Wrangler even as you’re backing up and grumbling about the view, you can kind of hear a little nagging voice in the back of your mind saying, “we could just put it in 4LO and go forward.
