Ah yes, I misread that as “clutch breaking.” My bad.

I was a teenager when I first saw this more than 30 years ago, and I can still remember how I felt so badly for Chang by the time he utters those words - “and now, I cross the golden bridge of the gods...”

We were in the market for a new family crossover when the Cherokee was almost out, but ended up getting in an accident and totaling the family car before they arrived so we went with something else. I kept up on the release dates and remember even FCA couldn’t get the software right to make them hit 9th gear. They had

Brakes are cheap. Driveline components are not.

I have had a manual transmission in every vehicle I’ve owned for my commute for 35 years. My trip/family vehicle driven by the wife has always had automatics. We have had Saabs, Subarus, Chevy’s, etc. Without a doubt the mentioned 8 speed in our Grand Cherokee is the best of them all by far. It always seems to be in

Asking to hold the Mayo can't be any more difficult than asking them to hold the tomato. I hate tomatoes. They're capable of ruining any sandwich. When I bring it back and they ask "can't you just take it off," why am *I* the asshole in that scenario? If you remove the tomato I can still taste that there was a tomato

THANK YOU!!

My wife and I fell in love with our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was an amazing vehicle. Until it wasn’t. In the first 1000 miles (300 of them put on by the dealer), it was in and out of the shop four times. When it wasn’t in the shop, we always wondered when would be the next time it shut off in the middle of driving.

I think we always need to keep it in the back of our heads that these people who apparently have “seen the light” are NOT progressives. They might even be more dangerous now because they’re in the wilderness, in search of any light that might be the spark to start a new, more centrist and reasonable Republican party

That is changing. It was a huge wake-up call in 2016 that the local races had not been given the attention they needed. That changed in 2018 and I think it’s also why we’re seeing the narrative change nationwide.

The Senate is not moving blue, at least not in the short term. This is despite the presence of Trump atop the ticket. With the way representation in this country is skewed toward the rural areas when it comes to the Senate, it’s just not going to happen.

I would even argue that there is a good chance 9/11 would not have happened. Remember Richard Clarke and others in the administration were running around with their collective “hair on fire.” They tried to get Rice and Rumsfeld to realize that their #1 concern was going to be terrorism, not some rekindled cold war

I feel the same way about 2-door Wranglers. The difference is that the Unlimited models still haven't reached "normal" looking status for me. Don't think they ever will.

As a long time Queen fan, I won’t watch it. May and Taylor think Queen is still Queen without Freddie. Sorry, it isn’t. And changing key moments in the band’s history to appeal to a mass audience dishonors Freddie’s legacy. Also, the constant “tsk-tsk” from May and Taylor regarding Freddie’s behavior needs to stop.

I’m a Pats fan whose team has benefited from this a couple times now, and even I hate it. Other team should have a chance to respond. That’s how you find out who the real deserving team is.

and “physical”

I loathe and despise Trump, and it just goes to show you that even a brilliant guy like Belichick can have a totally bizarre blind spot for a con man. I don’t get it. Oh, and (go pats)! Don’t worry, we’ll probably be in the wilderness a long time after Brady retires. Then you can have your sport back and laugh at us

I do all my banking with USAA (for 35 yqrs now) and have a credit rating over 800. I have NEVER been able to get their advertised rates. They always come back higher. So even those rates might not be accurate for many of us. I have no idea who is qualifying for them. Car loans are the only banking services I don’t use

New car prices are certainly a headwinds. Our Grand Cherokee lease is up in July. We love the vehicle but want to get off the leasing train. Trying to think outside the box for a replacement but not having much success figuring it out. Love the TourX, especially with the heavy disounts being offered right now, but

First went the wagons... Then the manual transmissions... Now the cars themselves...
