That’s a great looking vehicle. If it had a different badge, no one would be ragging on it.

I’d say that’s a step in the right direction

No dice.

25 DOLLARS A MINUTE? That seems excessive.

The average american drives less than 25 miles per day. Even the shortest range EVs can go two to three days without plugging in.

There are at least a handful of EVs selling for under the average new car sales price, so that’s also not true.

AT LEAST HALF of Americans can easily fit an EV into their daily life. AT

It seems cool, but also has me going “Why not make it wide all the time?”  Wouldn’t you want a wider pattern (and longer) at higher speeds because you’ll have less distance to react to things like deer, and therefore want to see them sooner?

Expedition Portal is full of rich people that like to set money on fire to fuel their obscure offroad fetish.

Maybe “run circles around it” on one of those manicured dealer offroad courses where they get the wheels to lift up at exactly the perfect spot to make rich people oooh and ahhh.

yeah its not an old defender. its better. itll run circles around the old one off road and its worlds better onroad. still wont stay running.

It’s fantastic to see a realistic reuse of old vehicles no one wants and running them in a suppotive economic capacity instead of clogging up boneyards. I approve of this 100%

I wonder how many of them have already visited the local service centre...

Really Bradley? I mean, you’re a bike guy (as well as a Leaf guy).

You know 911s weigh 3400 pounds now, right? That’s more than my Leaf.

Massive weight penalty?

The Model Y weighs around 4400 pounds. What’s a comparable mid-sized luxury SUV? Lexus RX350 weighs 4387 pounds.

You’re right, 13 pounds is INSANE!

I get about 250 on my KTM and my old Triumph is around 150. There’s also a big difference between stopping for 30 seconds worth of gas with stations spaced out every 10-15 miles and stopping for over an hour with charge points spaced out 70 miles or more. Even as charging infrastructure improves, charge times need to

And that’s why you make sure he doesn’t get back up. I’m not saying murder him, but knock him the hell out.

Yup, look at her eyes. Unhinged.

This is true. My old TDI needed a new fuel tank, struts, electrical work, steering rack which also meant new motor mounts, a thorough rework of the turbo & wastegate to figure out why it wasn’t making enough boost any more...  Would’ve cost about $3k to begin to replace that lot, plus all the other things that were

Maybe, but I doubt the used car lot cares to figure out which ones are good and which ones are utter POS. I think it’s best if the person who is going to be driving on the tires picks where they want to cheap out. Leaving it up to someone with no skin in the game seems risky.

Came here to say precisely this. I have seen all sorts of logic gymnastics from people convincing themselves that a new car is a great idea.
