Possibly, though maybe the reason the mom was in the hospital was serious enough that you have to cut her some slack for not following up after a day or so to make sure her kid was doing fine.

Dad’s obviously not at fault for this lady’s actions, but it’s definitely negligent to assume that the mother of your child had a “change of plans” and didn’t bother to communicate them to you.  What if the friend got in a wreck on the way over?  That’s an entirely plausible outcome that I, as a dad, would sort of…

This is a for real, for real business plan. Shoot, after funerals this long, folks are weak just walking out of the church. If you set up in the parking lot, you’ve got a captive audience.
