I mean, if it truly was a bunch of antifa people, pretending to be Trump supporters, storming the Capital, wouldn’t you think Republicans would want to get to the bottom of that?  Oh wait...

On the one hand, the Trump presidency was a shit show.  I’m still trying to recover from it.  It is truly saddening to see how many people who are full on Trumpists now.   Ted Cruz understood government better, so he probably would have been more effective.  But  I don’t see Cruz creating the same cult of personality

Those IKEA Poang chairs are cat magnets.  I have no idea why.  The room, those chairs are in, is the coldest one in the house.  But yet, she sleeps there.  I have made wool felted beds for my cats.  They’d much rather sleep in an Amazon box.

Yup. I have an older neighbor. Both she and her husband, both gained weight, as one tends to do as you age. When she became pre-diabetic, is when she joined Weight Watchers and started exercising. She partially did it for health reasons, but also wants to be thinner for appearance reasons. On the other hand, her

I had a job in my mid-20s, as a night shift lab technician making radioactive pharmaceuticals.  I knew there was going to be some weekend work, and being hourly  it meant overtime pay, but when I was hired, I was also told, I’d sometimes get a day off instead.  OK.  Well, that never happened.  I ended up working 50 -

So this is why I got an email from Nurx today on how to stock up on Plan B...

I’m so tired of that excuse. Maybe you live in a rural area with a low cost of living you can get by on unemployment, but not in most metro areas. I think a 2 bedroom apartment easily foes for $1500 / month. You can get something cheaper, but it will be super sketchy and rundown, or you’re way out in the exurbs. Most

I was reminded of this a few years ago, even though I don’t have kids.  My job can’t really be done from home.  I have to go into the office.  When there is a snow day or I’m sick, that’s it.  I stay home and rest.  It’s fantastic . Where as my husband, he works from home.  A snow day is no different, unless we’re

Fuck Facebook and their stupid, inconsistent rules. My “liking” privileges got briefly taken away. Apparently, you can like too many cat pictures, and they start to think you’re a spam bot or something. Another friend, who is the nicest person, even when it comes to his left leaning politics, got put in Facebook jail

I have several friends and neighbors who only shop at similar grocery stores in metro Atlanta. I do on occasion, but I just can’t with some of it. Everything that is non-GMO, gluten free, vegan whatever is nice on occasion, but I can’t commit to such a food lifestyle. When I want a fancier grocery store, it’s Publix,

I am that somewhat upper middle class, white woman, Republicans would love to see have many, many white babies. But I’m not. I’m almost 40, married and choosing to not have children. Between more requirements for parents, and lack of support, all while working a demanding full time job, I don’t see how kids fit into

I was fully vaccinated and walking with my boss, outside, to our other work building. I trust him and given our time spent together indoors (with masks), I wasn’t too worried about getting COVID from him.  I have greater concerns with other coworkers.  Anyways, he told me I could take off my mask.  I know, but it’s

Ugh.  And sadly, some will trust Jenny McCarthy for medical advice over a doctor.  I’d totally believe someone who was paid to fart and burp on men over a doctor any damn day.  /sarcasm

It’s this recipe.  http://cookingandbeer.com/2015/04/mexican-street-corn-dip/

I’ve had many a dip dinner and it’s amazing.  I make a killer elote corn dip, and it makes for an awesome dinner.

My last gyno kept on insisting I get a mammogram. I was in my late 30s. Her reasoning was, so there were be an image of my healthy breasts to compare as they age. I’m almost 40 now, and still haven’t gotten it done. It seems like one of those things, insurance wouldn’t pay for, plus at that time I was being poked and

Ugh.  I’m also guessing some of it has to do with the fear the GOP has of their rabid base and being possibly primaried.  Going along with anything that has a tinge of Blue is going to enrage the base.  Even on something that shouldn’t be all that controversial, like being against hate crimes.

Ugh.  Maybe they’ll keep their COVID in whatever rural pockets they live in?  It’s looking that way right now.  In metro Atlanta, it’s taking effort to make vaccine appointments.  It’s the opposite, in rural Georgia.  I know of some Atlantians who are making the 2 hour drive, just to get a vaccine.  Not that I want

Exactly.  He’s been arrested for having a DUI and had 16+ speeding tickets, yet was still able to be a politician.  Your average person would probably be fucked by such things.

I’ve only recently become a cabbage lover over the past few years. As a kid I hated veggies, and I couldn’t even tolerate coleslaw. I think it was roasted Brussels Sprouts that changed my opinion on cabbage. Then I couldn’t get enough. It’s so delightful raw, sautéed, roasted, or pickled.  It’s quite versatile.
