It won’t.  They rationalize it as we all have to die someday.  Well, maybe not everyone is ready to meet their maker.

What a nightmare, and as I was having doubts about being childfree by choice, now that I’m 39, the pandemic made me realize I made the right choice. My job can’t be done from home, and I’m glad I still have one. I knew things were unequal before and the struggles of childcare, but it’s so much worse now.

Because I work in medical device manufacturing, it’s hard to do my job remotely, as I don’t have a factory in my basement.  Some of my job is computer based, other parts are straight up hands on.  However, for the first month of the pandemic, I got to work from home for the first time in my life.  It was nice to not

I grew up in northern Indiana, but moved South after college.  Live in Florida for 3 years, then moved to Atlanta, where I’ve been for almost 13 years now.  Atlanta is just now feeling like home, although I don’t feel like I can claim I’m from Atlanta or the South, yet.  Maybe in another 10 years or so.

I read a quote from his niece, Mary Trump, from earlier this month.  Essentially, the USA rejected him and now he’s out for revenge.  He can’t handle the rejection.  It’s truly all sorts of sad.

We’ll see. It would be great if Congress worked together and actually got something done. But I don’t have much hope. The past 12 years, have showed me just how much the Republicans want to be the party of No and instantly veto anything with Democrat stink on it. It’s one thing to not have a Black man aka Obama in the

I grew up in South Bend, but moved away years ago.  According to my family who is still there, Mayor Pete installed “smart streets” aka roundabouts in the downtown area.  They are very much hated and many people find them impractical.  I hope he does better things as Transportation Secretary.

My husband sleep divorced me years ago. At first, I was pretty pissed off about it. But now, I prefer it.

Love it!  My planter is home to some dinosaurs and miniature gnomes.

My parent’s 1980's kitchen came with an island. It was perfect for chopping things, making cookies, etc. There was some other counter space in the L shape around the island, but not a whole lot. There were 2 stools for the island, but no one used them.  I wish my kitchen had an island. I live in a 1960s split level

She has to stick with the BS right-wing catch phrases.  Turn out for run off races is always low.  Not to mention, because of the voting fraud conspiracies, there are Georgia Republicans who may purposely sit this one out because their vote won’t matter.  And I do hope they sit out.  She has to try to rile up 45's

The only people I know that seem to care about Candace Owens, are white Republicans who want to think they’re not-racist because they agree with a Black person (who they think speaks for all Black people). Hah!

Weren’t the Kardashians and other Hollywood celebs able to get scarce COVID tests when the pandemic first started and the rest of us couldn’t, despite what that one guy said?  I imagine it will be the same shit.  I hope the initial stock of the vaccine does go to healthcare workers, and then the most at-risk people,

I used to work for a company like that. This party easily set them back $100k if not more. They’d rent out a ballroom at a 5-star hotel. Fly in VP’s and other important people for the party. There were ice sculptures with the company logo. One ice sculpture was for all you could eat shrimp, raw oysters, and stone crab

This is all so incredibly frustrating. I already have a coworker who is out on quarantine, as she visited family for Thanksgiving and a family member is sick, and of course you aren’t going to wear masks or eat outside, when it’s cold. And this is a job, that can’t be done from home (it’s manufacturing), so with

This is me.  It totally irks my husband when I have 568426551 tabs open at once.  I’ve gotten better.  It’s mostly news articles I want to read, and there’s just been way too much news this year.  Those New Yorker articles are great, but they’re incredibly lengthy.  One thing I’ve started doing, is if I have open

That’s my husband, for sure.  We don’t usually eat dinner together on weeknights.  It’s a fend for yourself sort of thing.  I’m more OK with nuking frozen burritos compared to him.  Anyways, depending on what I’m eating for dinner, I’ll eat at the kitchen table instead of at my computer desk.  When I’m at the table,

Eating alone at home, has never bugged me. Even though I live with my husband, we don’t always eat dinner together, at least on weekdays. My home dinners aren’t usually too extravagant - fried egg sandwich, instant ramen that’s been doctored up, frozen burrito. I do try to truly cook something once a week or so. It’s

Ms. Abrams got it right. This is a numbers game and that means getting more voters. The Democrats that voted for 45 are lost. Trying to appeal to Independents is a losing strategy. The Democrats can turn towards the middle and try to sway those voters, but it just isn’t enough, and those votes aren’t guaranteed to be
