I’m certain the fabric masks are better than nothing, and some are being worn over the scarce N95 mask, to help prolong their lifespan and minimize contamination. It sucks that our healthcare workers are working without such critical PPE.

I’m sort of working from home, for now. My isn’t really tailored to such work, but I’m trying. Basically, I’m doing busy work now as I’ve run out of real stuff to do. I’m still getting paid (for now) so I can’t complain too much. 5 PM as turned into happy hour for me. But I figure if I do get furloughed or laid off or

The skin is the best part of fried / roasted chicken.  One of my husband’s favorite yakitoris at our local Japanese restaurant is the chicken skin one.  So yummy!

They are!  You can find them on Amazon or random gas stations in the South.  But honestly, pork rinds hold up much better.

Yup.  I work in medical device manufacturing, and thought to myself, how the heck are auto plants going to be able to help?  At best, they can perhaps use some of their 3D printing technology, CNC machines, and make some parts.  Auto manufacturing equipment can’t so readily be modified to make ventilators.  Plus,

I’ve been checking the 538 polls (for what they’re worth) I’m shocked that his approval is going up. Then again, the bar for doing good is so low for him, the fact that he doesn’t shit his pant and acts somewhat presidential, he gets all sorts of accolades, especially from the press.  Although, while things feel awful

Ugh. This was the crap my boomer mom was trying to tell. Who cares if some old farts like her die. They’ll be dying soon enough, and it makes no sense to ruin the economy on account of them. Yeah....I told her that also means more dead boomers = less burden on Social Security, Medicare, and probably fewer 45 voters.

Try going to your local Asian or other ethnic market.  The Asian markets by me are still stocked quite well.  Lots of canned goods, dried beans, pasta, 25 pound bags of rice, produce, meat.  No TP, and eggs, milk, bottled water were low.

You need a Nintendo Switch I believe.

No idea.  I never made it that far on the Wii.  I played for maybe 1 - 2 weeks, and realized I didn’t have time for it.

My ex-boyfriend got me into Animal Crossing for the N64 years ago. I guess it was a good girlfriend babysitting tool, as I’d play it for hours, and I wouldn’t consider myself to be a gamer . I’ve dabbled in video games, but was never hardcore into them. Animal Crossing has no end, it’s kind of mindless and fun. I was

A friend of mine was telling me that he had to take his 1-year old out of daycare.  Him and his wife are working from home through all of this.  They found a nanny to watch their child so they’re free to work.  But the kicker is, if they want to ensure their spot at this daycare, whenever this pandemic ends, they

I have yet to come across a Bernie Bro in person, nor really online. Although, I do think the appeal of Bernie (and sadly 45) to a lot of young, white males, were their more radical agendas. Neither were that right or left of center same-old candidate. Which is why some Bernie people voted for 45.

I bought a bunch of those things.  I’m glad I watched a bunch of Chopped on Food Network.  Or how else am I going to figure out what to do with brown rice, lentils, a can of sardines, and butterscotch chips!

My neighborhood is the diamond in the rough. A bunch of my neighbors pooled together, and tried to put together a stash of non-perishables for kids and families of the neighborhood school, who don’t have the means for such things. A lot of grocery stores were picked over, but many of us went out to pick up things for

I went to the grocery store yesterday and it was mayhem.  You could feel the tension and panic in the air.  It was quite unnerving.  I had to drink a cup of bourbon when I got home.  I only went because I truly needed a few things - cat litter, ingredients for Sunday dinner.  And $300 later....I started buying things

I was 11 when the Bill Clinton was elected and that’s when my dad started getting into politics and listening to Rush Limbaugh. Ugh. I didn’t think much about the Clinton hatred, especially towards Hillary. My dad even bought a floor mat with her face on it, to put in front of his office. Double ugh. At such a young

Preface, I don’t have kids but get it.

This is all secondhand....
