"I'm actually not supposed to do that anymore."

I was wondering about that myself. Did they explain in-episode why they had to get it right then and I just missed it?

Our new Boromir meme!

Yeah, that moment was a tad contrived. Almost all of them have had legit connections made with Mick - and I hope that's not forgotten.

So Mick uses fire to reveal an inscription on the Ring of Power the Staff of Destiny, then they meet up with Lieutenant Tolkien in the middle of WWI and proceed to make multiple implicit connections between the Staff and the Ring of Power. And then Rip gives an Aragorn-speech. Oh, this show is just too much.

Well, he played a sociopath on TVD. So that probably helps in my perception of his range.

He might even die on the way back to his home planet.

Maybe Barry can Flashpoint us a couple good patches…

I couldn't agree more. On paper, Mon-El would not work for me. But Wood totally sells it and I'm really enjoying the character.

Damon exhausted me to no end - especially with the show's endless obsession with him turning evil or doing terrible things for terrible reasons.

Flashpoint was able to mess up Mass Effect? That is impressive.

He was excellent on TVD. Dude clearly has talent.

Oh, that's a really good point. Mon-El's evolved enough beyond their relationship that even with them broken up, he's not going to let go of who he's become.

That would be my guess. I think it's also why there's been minimal Victor Garber last couple episodes of LoT.

I think it's a tricky path, because Maggie is also a bit underserved as a character. She's in the main cast and yet literally has no definition outside her relationship with Alex. Whereas Mon-El benefits from myriad details that define him outside his relationship with Kara.

That was brutal. Wood was fantastic in that scene.

Also, I thought some of his reasons for not wanting to tell her were valid. Like the whole "maybe I didn't want to be the Daxom Prince" with you. I wish the writers would let her see that.

Is there word he might not come back next season? That would be disappointing.

A kumquat would be a more believable hero than James.

And it's probably for the best not to rely too heavily on Sorbo when it comes to acting.
