As someone who works for one of the top 5 auto manufacturers and attends the daily quality meetings for new model launches this is nothing. Every new model that launches from any manufacturer is plagued with issues, it just happens that one of the Model X’s issues has to do with the doors which is hard for a customer…

How is that a serious compromise? Kids arent rear facing very long. Once they are bigger and forward facing there is zero issues. I’m 6'2" and have no problem driving with my daughter behind me.

Umm that is simply wrong. I mounted my kids rear facing LATCH seat behind the passenger seat in my Abarth with no issue. No front passenger in the car but the seat and kid worked fine.
