Speaking of ads. I keep getting a pop up when I go to Lifehacker from the feedly app on my iPad today. It doesn't display anything but a black window a difficult to click "click here to make go away" button. Uhhhh..... Hey LifeHacker people, what's going on today? And why is thiss different than Friday?

My husband and I are allergic to corn! It's an additive in everything. How can we shop "all natural" without kiling our bank accounts?

So, I made an at home treadmill desk out of a $25 Craig's list treadmill and some wood. But, I can't use that at my work, it's super loud and people get glared at for talking here. Any suggestions for a cheap way to get a quiet treadmill desk? I thought about a manual treadmill, but can't find a good one for cheap.

I flew Frontier once, and never again. I would put that experience on par with US Air. :-/ My favorites? Horizon Air because there's free local wine. And Alaska Air to Hawaii, because POG (passion orange guava juice)!!!! Also, very comfortable seats with good leg room.

Vote: Mind Snacks. (an app on my iPhone)

Is there such a thing as an "afternoon person"? Cause if there is, then that's me.

Ohh! Okay. I see that now.

If the kindles are sold for the same price on amazon, is it still a deal?

Yes! Those are excellent too. They make good outlines.

One of my favorite one note features (years ago before I switched to a Mac) was that if you were in class feverishly typing, at the beginning of a line you could start bullets simply by typing * and hitting space. Then, it would continue on the next line, and you could tab into a smaller bullet or hit enter into a

I think the only actual thing that will make it so that I can stop living P2P would be finishing my PhD and getting someone to pay me above the poverty line. Otherwise my options are biking to work and ditching my car (it's a pretty long distance, but I do it sometimes) which doesn't save me a lot of money or having a

Try and change a headlight in a 2001 Ford Focus and then tell me it isn't worth paying someone else to do it. lol. In any other car, that's super easy, but for some reason they decided that spring loaded light bulbs was a good idea in the old Focus.

Unless it's something I really enjoy doing, I also try to include the cost of my time. If building this computer is not fun for me, and it will take 3 hours, + 2 hours of research and purchasing, how much money would I make for 5 hours of work? Is it worth it to just pay someone else to do it instead? Which is

I have to avoid allergens in order to get my allergy treatments. It's a super strange diet. No corn, malted barley (beer and processed bread), dairy, tea, kidney shaped beans, or green beans. It doesn't help me lose weight or anything. But it has reduced my asthma attacks, and gotten rid of my frequent bruising

This is interesting considering that women in business are told to not use I because we're seen as more communal so using the word I makes us look more selfish than if a man makes a similar claim...

Normally. But work isn't close. And if I have to stay late and it gets dark I have to drive. I still haven't found good options necessarily for rain and especailly not ice and snow (I have a road bike, no traction).

It's much easier to take a card that have a 0 balance on it, call them, and tell them you want to cancel your card. They will either be jerks and tell you how it will hurt your credit score, or they will try hard to keep you and offer you better rates.

You might benefit from opening a Discover card, or sounds like a Bank of America card (since you don't carry a balance from month to month). Then, after you haven't used it for a while, call them and ask again. They may be willing to help in order to get you to use them again. If not, then threaten to cancel your

I think I only have luck with Amex because most of the people I have called for start around 22-24%, so they're willing to budge a bit. Bank of America might be an issue because the person I tried to help has always carried a balance, and I find most companies are much worse about reductions if you carry a high
