No, Zyna-kat is wrong.
No, Zyna-kat is wrong.
I think it comes down to exposure. Guys wank to this stuff in private. Their spouses/girlfriends/mothers know they do, but I truly don't believe they know how awful most of it is.
Yet they specifically refer to Adelphia as a company said to "make and produce pornography". Do cable companies produce the porn they show? They also keep talking about it in present tense when actually it went out of business years ago.
That's the problem with the laws, they aren't specific.
I don't think we can just sit back and let it be. We allow it to be seen as normal when we do. I don't believe we can legislate it away, no, but by leaving it there unquestioned we legitimize it.
No, I don't think getting rid of porn would magically make all those things go away. What does bother me, however, is how legitimizing porn also legitimizes the behavior in porn.
I guess it serves the political purpose at hand.
Yes, they exist. Part of the problem with dealing with things like 2 girls 1 cup is no one is selling it, it's not hosted in the US more often than not, etc. These laws will be applied to companies that sell mail order DVDs or host streaming in the U.S., so they can use the whole interstate commerce stuff to their…
They wouldn't. They were a cable company, but for the sake of the article it's being labelled a porn company. It's a huge stretch, like saying your local 7/11 is a porn shop because it sells playboy behind the counter.
Well, judges judge. Prosecutors prosecute. The department of justice is part of the executive branch of government, and the president is the head of the executive branch.
It just really bothers me that folks like her are assumed to be chefs, even in this article. I think her family owned restaurants, but I don't believe she ever held a job as a cook, much less a chef.
I have a harder time with some celebs being perceived as chefs who really don't seem to deserve the title. Even in this article, Rachael Ray is portrayed as a chef. Has she ever been the chef in a restaurant? A great many of these personalities have never really held a real job as a chef.
He means applying obscenity laws to porn that most people would consider to be obscene.
It makes me throw up in my mouth a little to be perceived as being on Santorum's side about anything, but I think modern feminism has some serious issues in the pornography department. Modern porn is getting more and more misogynist, racist, and awful.
The hyperbole IS the fearmongering. Taking something that could be said in normal terms and exaggerating it to the point it's a horrible danger. Jezebel does that all the time, like this headline.
Yeah. I really believe it is a way of coping. People here often express dismay, wondering how any human being can say and do such awful things. It honestly isn't such a huge leap to suspect they aren't human.
Again, semantics. If it was meant to say "misinformation is dangerous" that's a very strange and convenient typo.
It says "When Fox News Lies, Actual People Die"
I think that is the unintended moral here. "Fox News will kill you." isn't a whole lot different in spirit than "Obama will kill you." It's all about fearmongering on either side of the fence.
