Regarding Blade Runner, I minded, and I've even weathered disdain stating publicly that I actually like the film noir narration better. That said, I could always see good reason for the changes that were made, even if I didn't necessarily agree with them.

How do you deal with fads in a series? You don't. The reason the author here finds it so easy to associate Star Trek with the past is because it focuses on themes that are timeless. They dominate the past, present AND future. It isn't "old", it's reality stripped of the insubstantial bullshit we'll be ashamed of

10: "Does this hat look good on me?"

Our weird psycho leaders against their weird psycho leaders... seems a bit too realistic for me.

And under the Paul administration you could own a fully automatic one for personal defense.

Have you tried Mexico? Gotta get some fetish crossover...

Dark Knight Rises teaser poster, hmm? Hmmm?

Yeah, I don't watch this, so I imagined there'd be eyes on the boobs, which made me imagine the Pan's Labrynth hands feeling up the Once Upon a Time boobs, which made me wish I hadn't. Damn you Io9!

Now playing

Blaster Beam, Jerry Goldsmith. Paulstretched, by the sound of it. Same instrument anyway...

i don't think most people will do the stuff they see on tv, but gah, they seem to want to focus on it. it's entertaining to them.

It's a dismal time for pop culture, has been for over a decade. Reality tv creates nothing timeless. Every channel has committed the sin. The History Channel spends it's time on Cajun Pawn Stars and Axe Men.

In my experience it just makes people grumpy, then they have to shower and they don't talk much as they're leaving.

it would be awesome if they'd invent breathable oil. then they could pack us up like sardines at night and have it over with.
