Still rice, but the simmering liquid has corn puree in it, pretty much. Plus fresh kernels and herbs. It’s a cooks illustrated/ATK recipe, so it might require a subscription: https://www.cooksillustrated.com/recipes/12827-corn-risotto

This weekend is for trying out a fresh corn risotto recipe (and likely improvising some accompaniments from the csa share), working on working out again (easy does it, couch potato, I say to myself), and, I think, finally starting Nioh.
Oh, good, they hired The Hiss from Control.
Yup, just pay everyone to stay home, basically. Instead, the open up push just got us to where we are today. We’re about a month out from July 4th and rates/deaths/hospitalizations are spiking in so many areas. How much more evidence do we need that promoting business as usual is a bad idea?
100%. Just sweeping up the pieces and patching a few spots isn’t going to cut it, but that size of solution can take time on its own. A popular uproar might help speed things up, but I feel like that's being stymied by so much disinformation.
Not sure if this is the same issue, but I have issues with workplaces hiding behind hipaa to not announce covid positives. I would hope that there would be a public health benefit exemption during a pandemic. Silence helps the spread.
It may just be a sweet, sweet placebo effect and I don't care, but I did just order a bunch more CBD mints.
Agreed. Not only is there a lot of lag time built into the infection-symptoms-testing-results cycle, we are months behind when it comes to tracking and quarantining and other actions we would need to take to get ahead of the curve. Even if a sane and unified policy was enacted today, it would still be months to ramp…
Sure, I may have the anxiety-prone trait of disasterizing at times and may have felt similarly previously, but it really seems like we’re hitting a time that includes but is not limited to the election, where we either continue the path the USA is careening on and go over a terrible cliff into (economic, climate,…
We are slowly gathering ideas on home renovations that we’ll hopefully find a contractor for once the pandemic is over. Our bathroom needs a big overhaul, there’s a lot of other ideas we have to free up space for more storage, we really want a porch to sit on, and there’s some other things that just would be easier if…
Looks great!
That's super scary and you absolutely shouldn't have to put up with any of that.
Ah, yeah, she may be terribly burned out and without any fucks left to give. I figured you had it covered, and that's fantastic that you have good support. Self reporting is always smart! Owning up to something quickly and just working on fixing or mitigating works wonders!
Thanks to the impending Defector website I spent a while this morning updating all the places I use my credit card with the new expiration date from the latest card the bank sent. I’m sure I forgot lots of places, so we’ll see where I get emails from needing updates.
That cake is... Looking pretty good. I’d say go for it.
See, what'd I tell u.
I’d like to put in a no contact delivery order for custard tarts please. Sounds delicious.
Oof, that’s ridiculous. The utter lack of basic professionalism is just inexcusable. I agree that you shouldn’t escalate it, but I would recommend doing some CYA work and at least noting these actions down, either through dated notes to yourself or if there’s someone you can email these to just to note them, not to…
This is entirely fair and I accept your judgment. I promise to do better and worse.
The problem and the solution...
