The Jeep Compass/Patriot with the CVT is hands down THE WORST CAR I’ve ever driven! They realized the error of their ways and stuck a conventional tranny when they refreshed it. This made it a tolerable, if not decent little rental car, but oh man! It was so bad with he CVT!

We had a crap-zillion of these when I worked for a rental company. This and the 200 are the very definition of a rental car. Not terrible, but not good either.

I’ll just stick with college, thanks. Seriously, this season I’ve gone from “I’ll watch the NFL because it’s football”, to “I genuinely could care less”.

Worked for a rental company and Impala’s were the queen of the fleet. They’re not horrible, but they’re definitely not as reliable as people claim. We had our fair share that had to go to the dealer because of issues.

Shelby County is one of the most affluent counties in the state. They shoot off less fireworks here than when I lived in the friggin’ desert in Washington.

Fun fact: The nearby Cahaba River is one of the most ecologically diverse rivers in the United States, so let’s hope this gasoline doesn’t find its way into it.

The Patriot is half way decent with a normal transmission in it. I remember them being much better when they made the switch.

I agree. S60's are very nice cars that have an upscale feel and are pretty decent to drive. Plus, they run on regular.

Funny, I’m listening to the Team Clear Coat podcast with Doug DeMuro and they’re talking about wanting things that we can’t have (but we really shouldn’t want).

Cadillac ATS. Yes, it handled great, but it was insultingly small and cramped, especially in the back seat and trunk. On top of that, the transmission was dim-witted, the interior was cheap and CUE was miserable to use.

When I was a kid, my brother and I thought the Eclipse was so cool. Looking at how awesome Mitsu used to be and seeing the rolling jellybeans they push out now makes me sad.

Unfortunately, most of Mitsubishi’s line-up consists of cars/CUV’s with crap CVT’s, so I don’t really see how Nissan would change any of that for the better.

I enjoy the sports, but the whole thing is absurdly corrupt.
