I remember when he popped up for the first time on Battlestar Galactica. I’d already fallen in love with the show, but seeing him on-screen for the first time I went “oh, here we go...” Cavill was utterly extraordinary, especially his rant to Ellen Tigh post-Ellen’s regeneration. I’ll say this about BSG - they

Paris, Texas is one of my favorite movies.  Loved Quantum Leap as well, and he was one of those guys I was always happy to see pop up.

I watched Paris, Texas because I love the soundtrack and got sucked in completely. You know you can trust a movie that stars not one but both Deans of General Awesomeness.  RIP.

Worth noting that Battlestar Galactica: The Plan where they go back through the series from the perspective of the Cylons (and retro-fix a lot of plot holes in a fun way) was really his movie.

Don’t worry, I’m sure they have a resurrection ship nearby.

a witch that can see the future has nothing to do with Foundation.”

“It’s not like the book, therefore it is bad.”

What is even the point of this comment? Like, what do you think you’re achieving here? A totally original take that no one has already posted here before ad nasueum?

You’re not actually criticising anything, just pointing out that it’s different which you take for granted

There are a million things that bother me about this show every week. This week something I had a hard time with was Brother Dawn going on about how he’s watched all the time and never alone and his brothers watch his every move and would know immediately if a single thing were amiss etc etc, WHILE SHOWING HIS SECRET

During the scene with spacemen flying around from ship to ship, I thought to myself, “Man, this is more Lucky Starr than Foundation, isn’t it?”.

I found the lack of Jared Harris in the previous four episodes disturbing.

“Also, apparently bra clasps have not changed in 12,000 years?”

Indeed.

“We just picked the first jerk-off we found on the street. So now it’s ‘Armenian Week’!”

You might be confused because Dune is the name of the doctor, but the protagonist of the film is “Dune’s Monster”.

I remember Bake Off used to do small segments where Mel or Sue would go to an actual regional bakery or mill and see how things were made.

Oh yeah, and one of the characters is named Duncan Idaho? Wtf is that? Is there a Lady Minneapolis later on?

I wished they used military ranks so he could be Private Idaho.

He also went by Sandy, sometimes it definitely got confusing

You make a great point, maybe the correct theme of this week was really “Stuff You Find at a “German” Christmas Market in the UK”....

I think he meant you would never stack one trifle on top of another trifle.
