Yeah, I’m not sure how anyone can dislike an album with “My Science Fiction Twin”, “13 Steps Lead Down”, “London’s Brilliant Parade”, adn “20% Amnesia”, just to name a few.

I don’t think there’s any racism involved. Nobody has a problem when the ethnicity of character and actor are not precisely matched. Nobody gave a shit when Welsh leprechaun** Matthew Rhys played a Russian pretending to be an American on The Americans. The problem is that Asian actors (whether from Asia or…
I don’t see why Clarissa needs to be either a moustache-twirling villain or a good person driven to bad acts by persecution (although Avasarala’s purge against the Mao clan is a violation of human rights. Jules-Pierre deserves prison, but what did Clarissa do?). Those are not the only types of people who do bad…
One thing about that blue goo...does anyone on the Roci have any clue that it’s there?
If anything, my complaint would be that they’re paying way too much attention to “canon”. It’s a TV show, not a religion, people.
If you’re implying that I’m Kurtzman... nope. Hated the Kurtzman/Abrams/Orci movies.
If the Internet was around when TNG started, TOS fans would have been howling about how terrible that was, too.
I liked it. It was not perfect, but there was a lot to like. By light years, the best first season of Star Trek since 1966. Sonequa Martin-Green is a riveting charismatic presence, and Michael Burnham is already one of my all-time favorite Star Trek characters. I am looking forward to the show getting even better in…
I really liked seeing fully alive Julie at least for a few scenes, and it reminded me of how much of a serious gender problem this show had the first season.
I wonder if Protomolecule Julie will show up and start talking to her sister. That would be cool because she should be more than a plot device for Miller.
He’s like Riker if he wasn’t always trying to screw everybody.
Yes. As a huge Star Trek fan, I’m really enjoying a space opera where the limitations are (mostly) physics, not the needs of the plot.
The whole point of the Behemoth is to go stake a claim to the Ring. It’s not a very practical ship for normal in-system operations. All it does is make a statement. And that’s what their mission is.
Whereas I think she’s gotten better with every release since Fox Confessor.
Ah yes, blissful escape into the totally Edenic world of The Expanse.
Avarasala has a line in one of the previous episodes about authenticating the video.
Oh. I guess we know how the thread with Alex’s son is going to pay off then, huh...?
My guess is that Corey hadn’t invented the Marco backstory until Babylon’s Ashes. They know the characters a lot better now than they did when they were writing Abbadon’s Gate. This is one of the reasons why I think this is such a great adaptation: they’re not sticking to the way the story is told in the books just…
I knew I recognized the Hammurabi first officer from somewhere! Number 5! Casting on this show is turning into a joy!
You’re going to be disappointed.
