Well I am guessing the staff was trying to validate all the love thrown her way this year. I like her work, but still, it really takes a lot away from the contest´s validity to put her against Nobel prize winners.

I have to agree to this. As a Mexican, I take offense on this. I am guessing, if the author is American, would not appreciate if just because some individual is racist, murderous or homophobic, that we would categorize the country as such.
