Remember that this is the land in which some of those trees are actually rock type Pokémon (which are strong against fire type), they have a plethora of god-like “guardians” (I’m thinking Celebi, possibly Suicune), and many water types call the forest their home - I don’t think their forests are in any trouble at all.
