@Vecha: Well I first played 7 when I was 7 in fact, and it was my first Final Fantasy... playing the game being blocky and the non voice acted game is part of my childhood and a remake would just tarnish that.

@Vecha: But a lot of people commented more on the fact in a lot of reviews that the game's graphics were leaps and bounds beyond what most have seen on the PSX.

@Aipaloovik: I agree with everything Galm said as well, and my first RPG was VII. But being open minded and loving VII I looked deeper into the series and learned there was considerably better to offer.

@Madness87: Exactly what everyone is saying, REMASTER it not remake it. VII is fine the way it is,the spinoffs are enough.

@LucasReis: Well the love comes from Rosy Tinted Glasses... people played FFVII first for most... and it revolutionized what you can do with RPGs graphically for the time.

@Vecha: As a fan of the series, remakes haven't been sitting well with me period.

@MyTearsIntoWine: IMO, FFVII is perfectly fine the way the game is now... if you really need a fancied up graphical version of the story then you're doing it wrong.

@BananaStandCEO: When it was ported the glitch came about, it's not terrible... once you play the game enough it becomes almost like a habit to wait.

@DesolationJ: Now to be fair, I prefer RPGs be it western or Japanese, specifically for the stories and strategy behind the games... and less of the immense skill required.

I don't get the PSX review, was the only game he played before this X? Because last I checked X and IIRC one? had strict turn based gameplay. The ATB was quite active IMO and this way a new addition to the ATB system.

@urfe: You won't be disappointed when you get to know the characters and they open up a bit.

@Tpadz: That's what I loved about the game, it's a very strategic game. Purely using weapons based on Mag/Str stats is pretty dumb anyways. Only point I really had any trouble with was hitting Pulse and I was severely underleveled and was getting facerolled relentlessly.
