Well, it’s march 15th. You can’t just let the Ides of March go by without stabbing somebody.

The car can’t move. Now instead of just remedying the situation, the cops create a situation where the protestor has to pay to have their vehicles repaired or they have to pay to get their vehicles out of the impound lot.
Bradley, with all due respect, this is a fxxking garbage take that reeks of elitism, gatekeeping and reads like it was written by the most toxic purist I can possibly imagine.
Targa tops are so 80's...
“Police maintain that they were doing their job despite the fact no one should be condemned to death for a traffic violation.” Uh, no. The guy committed suicide. Nobody made him lead the police in a high-speed chase, that’s on him.
“...2019 was a big year for bad shipping stories; the Golden Ray and the Ever Given both happened a few months apart during the height of lockdown-addled boredom.”
I’m down with it. He doesn’t drop gold 100% of the time, but I gotta say his average is pretty damn impressive. He has respect, and he has vision. I’m down with this. Congratulations, Dave. I stan ya.
The attacker’s handicap? Rage.
I am good. You seem to think I am acting like a “superior prick”, but you seem to be taking your own run at that title.
I don’t know what that means, but Google says it’s a part number for Caterpillar.
I want it to come from innocent cops pensions tbh the culpable cop and the cops that are completely uninvolved need to suffer to. For every one bad cop, the whole precinct knows what a piece of shit they are and do nothing.
Take it out of Police Pension funds. “Sorry, Officer Figpucker, but that guy you covered for a dozen times finally getting caught means no pension payout this year”, that’ll bring down that blue wall faster than you can say “Police Collusion”. ‘Cause that is the real problem, it isn’t just that individual “bad” cops…
Someone (wish I could remember who) wrote about an idea for making police carry malpractice insurance like doctors that would pay out if they are sued for on the job misconduct. If the officer has a bad record and the premiums become too high, time to find a new job.
It’s time we make cops write checks from their personal accounts.
I believe it’s a bit darker than that. When he came to power (a loooong time ago) he promised to tackle crime and corruption. I know, but bear with me.
Do accomplish that he has made A LOT of enemies in high places, and basically as long as he is president he’s protected by the police and the army. As soon as he’s…
I posted another comment about how the bogs remind me of the “motile isles” from one of the planets in the Hyperion book series. It is pretty cool to see the closest real-life equivalent.
Now I am having flashbacks of the motile isles from Dan Simmon’s Hyperion Cantos.
I like that they slipped in the glimmer of good news about being able to collect some data, presumably including how fast a lunar lander can be traveling in order to cease existing upon impact.
In most situations that’s true, but film sets have their own rules because they’re doing things a lot differently. You’re also not supposed to point a gun at anything you aren’t willing to kill/destroy, but that rule obviously isn’t going to work on a movie set. That’s why there’s an armourer whose entire job it is to…
...Full of Californians... But I hear ya. Every good place with easy access gets overrun with people these days. Have to travel further and furhter off the beaten path to get away from the hoards. People need to make sure that when tehy go out, they have the wisdom to keep themselves out of trouble and the skill to…
