If you want to get into that level of splitting hairs to justify Trumps administrations terrible handling of basically everything, then the difference is that the majority of the Clintons platform was never about how Washington was a corrupt terrible place and they were going to clean it out.
This commenter is also missing that WaPo reported both stories and that this particular blog (Splinternews) didn’t exist when the first story came out. Or if it did it wasn’t a Gawker media site.
