Thank you & E. for sharing your stories. I remember being in recovery crying out of relief and Catholic guilt over being relieved, and the nurse holding my hand telling me it’s ok to cry and that I could stay as long as I wanted.

This is not at all problematic for people who’ve survived abusive relationships, are going through a divorce/custody battle, etc.
