I don't think anyone is going to want to take 5 hours to restore their server, but I doubt this would be the primary backup either. Seems like more of a third redundancy in case your local backup fails and a meteorite hits your tape closet at home.

I think the only big one to get that wrong was Transformers, but that scene was super hilarious for anyone who lives in DC. Oh, Shia? Coming out of your girlfriends ground level converted fire station onto a 50 foot wide city street lines with skyscrapers?

Washington D.C. has codified the height limit on buildings, so as not to exceed that of the Washington Monument.

I went to this website: http://www.isws.illinois.edu/data/climatedb/choose.asp?stn=118740

"But can you store mp3 files on your kitten or puppy?"

Has anyone considered the legal implications with looking around on an unconscious person's flash drive? I doubt a doctor is legally allowed to snoop around on a patient's computer peripherals without explicit permission, at least in the US. I'd assume other first world countries have similar privacy laws.

They're probably not both exactly 650 grams either, but it's near enough as makes no difference.

Nope, you're absolutely right. In terms of buying "new", it's impossible to beat BikesDirect prices. A bike mechanic friend who works at a very high end shop - the sort that caters to the $5K+ triathlon and road crowds - was telling me a while back about how they could buy Sram RED equipped BikesDirect bikes for less

It's not whether Lance Armstrong could kick your ass on a tricycle, it's whether YOU could kick YOUR OWN ass on a more appropriate bike.

As a fixie hipster, I wish you'd just call them "idiots" and leave it at that. I know plenty of fixie hipsters who also race road and acquit themselves very well.

I was thinking the same thing. The nicest component on that bike is the Sora RD, and Sora is Shimano's cheapest real road groupset.

I don't think it's unreasonable to want to do well in a race, even if you're not sponsored or competing for the top spots.

I'm not sure how many Drone operations you are going to get done at 0.2mA/cm^2 current density.

This comes up a lot, but I have never heard a second example. Everyone always says "Look at VHS vs Betamax! And, like, tons of other stuff too..."

    Here, fixed it for ya:

Why are we limiting ourselves to what you can see and what you can hear?

He was playing on the oft-cited Bill Gates quote that "640K ought to be enough for anybody" (or a dozen other variations on the theme).

    Attendant: Coffee sir?

    It's true, that's a lot of fish.

I never knew that particular tidbit, but it makes a lot of sense; both in the quality of MW's stuff (comparable to Chrome of old) and the slight decline of Chrome (presumably since the company changed hands).
