It's both. Apple makes premium products for which it charges double-premium prices. Seriously, do you think Apple has all this money because they're charging a fair price? They're making money hand over fist from fanboys.

There's no probably about it. Anything/Everything from Apple is as expensive as hell. Why do you think they have the $ they do.

80% of Apple users are using iOS5 for 2 reasons: 1, Android carriers do a cappy job of rolling out new Android (wanting to get you to buy a new gadget instead; and 2, Apple fanboys are willing to lay down another $1000 annually to get a new gadget which just happens to come with a new iOS.
