Yeah, I’m kinda with you. The plotting wasn’t as tight as s1 but at this point it’s a cosy hang-out show for me and anything else is a bonus.

Outstanding.
It was a casting against type, you wouldn’t have expected that from a Ted Danson character now.
She did an episode of Conan O’Brien’s podcast, and getting to hear her talk about herself and her career for 45 minutes, I can only agree - she’s an absolute delight, and I hope to see her in many, many more things.
Did you finish season 3?
The real disappointment was that the elements of the cosmic horror universe that REH and his writing circle concocted were there. It had everything it needed to be a good Conan movie but it’s execution kept missing the mark repeatedly. I also think choosing to have Momoa clean shaven was a poor choice even if it fit…
Co-written, maybe. I've seen no evidence that he knows how to write structure or dialogue or dramatic narrative. Character chops are important but hardly the only necessary quality.
Happy for her success, I’ve been a fan since Legion.
You can rag on the Nicole Kidman AMC commercial all you want but I like it. It is well produced, pulls on the right heartstrings for movie fans, and she looks like a timeless, incredibly glamorous movie star equally at home in 1922 as 2022.
Knowledge is good.
I loved the main Baaaaa,ba-ba baaaa theme was catchy in a way far too few film scores are nowadays. My favourite Batman theme since the Elfman/Walker era.
“The CW’s DC offerings have dwindled down to Superman & Lois and the upcoming Gotham Knights.”
And Stargirl!
THIS. 100%.
I’ve lost count of how many posts I’ve seen from Metallica diehards who are all “Glad to hear some Metallica, but (pushes glasses up on nose) they OBVIOUSLY should’ve used For Whom the Bell Tolls instead because blahblahreasonsblahblahbellsblahblah.” Completely disregarding the fact that Puppets has way…
Can’t tell if trolling or serious -- G’Kar was a character on Babylon 5, and WMS had two different non-recurring parts on that show. (The Soul Hunter in season 1, and G’Kar’s uncle in I think season 3.)
W. Morgan Sheppard was a character actor’s character actor. The man simply never stopped working, and was everywhere. As far as I know he’s the only living actor to have speaking credits on Star Trek, Babylon 5 and Doctor Who, not to mention Seaquest, Max Headroom, Day of the Triffids and Quantum Leap. (It’s god’s own…
Doctor Doctor was a huge favorite of mine. It was the first time I saw Brian George on anything, and I thing he’s great (even if you only know him from Seinfeld or Big Bang Theory, he elevates everything he’s on.)
I’m pretty sure Max Headroom is streaming somewhere - Tubi or one of thos. Been decades since I saw it (not the video show - the dystopian s-f one) but I remember it - the pilot especially - as being a lot of fun. Blasted-out urban settings, bootleg organ dealers and some funny stuff as well.
I am old enough to remember that the first season of the ABC show aired after Moonlighting on Tuesdays and had top-20 ratings. Then for its second season ABC decided to move it to Fridays opposite Dallas, which owned Fridays during the 1980s. It quickly sank in the ratings and was cancelled.
What else would you expect from a streaming service
National Lampoons Loaded Weapon 1 (a Samuel L. Jackson vehicle!) doesn’t get enough credit
