She earned her accolades in Black Swan, & her casting actually did matter there (at least in as much as she played off of Mila Kunis well, & the two characters needed to look similar-ish in height, build, & hair). Portman is capable of great things, but she doesn’t always do great things; sometimes it’s the fault of

There are some good actors who can take a lackluster (or even shit) script and do a lot with it; and then there are some good actors who can’t work with a lackluster script and just kind of face-plant. I think Natalie Portman (based off of Thor, Dark World, the Star Wars prequels) is one of the latter.

I think your assessment is completely unfair here. Lauren German is an excellent comedic foil to Tom Ellis and others, and her reactions are often hilarious in their own right. She’s not always in worried/angsty mode.

I don’t think that’s much of Portman’s fault, more of the fact that the early MCU had little idea on what to do with women (not that they are amazing at it now, but they’re better), so Portman was hired to be a famous, pretty face. She noped out of it before she could get ‘em to give her cool shit - from what I

Which is interesting because I always see how all the cast posts on SM how German is the most hilarious one on the set. I think she’s just a great “straight man” and could probably be the female Leslie Nielson if she wanted to(if someone were ever interested in making those kinds of films again which I would love btw).

First, some words of appreciation. During COVID I stumbled upon this show. I had exhausted almost every crime drama in quarantine and thought “Fine. I’ll watch the weird DevilCop show.” I was surprised when I was instantly interested from the pilot, I binged it quickly, and it has been my fall back for ‘me’ time.

I just want to say how much I appreciate knowing that Heaven in Lucifer's universe has a forking profanity filter.

I had a very weird weekend. My dad died just before the shutdown and my mom sold the house in the fall to someone who was renovating it and putting it back on the market. As we live closest, my family asked me and my wife to go to the open house on Saturday to take pictures and let them know how it looked. On top of

Lucifer worked out well.

This is one of the great things about Bosch and Insecure, they both make LA look amazing and neither focus on the overused areas like Beverly Hills.

So, as I’ve said all along — it’s CASTLE, only he’s not a horny mystery writer, he’s the literal Devil!

Stripped down, it’s a trope of rich, powerful man who can charm anyone has no effect on a no-nonsense serious woman who is initially repulsed which intrigues him but after time they grow closer to each other and fall in love, with pitfalls of course to delay all the will-they/won’t they stuff.

As much as I love this show, for the entirety of its run I don’t think it has ever remotely showed me why Decker would be such an appealing match for Lucifer.

I can’t recall a single scene of her ever laughing with delight, can you?”

I think she could have also had more of a comedy run in this one if she had been aware everyone else was singing or something.

They thought I was foolish for dropping a ton on a 3D plasma TV and a surround sound system that cost more than my first car around 2014. But now I’m King.

I was enjoying the show just fine, but the ending of Season 2 (starting with Johnny’s speech about the town to his old friends) was where I really fell in love with it.

I think it’s the conversation about “wine”between David and Stevie. It’s a really smart  conversation that starts adding dimensions to some of the characters.
