I don’t really have a strongly felt objection to either McDonald’s or the Grimace shake, but what I appreciate about the videos is the charming DIY-ness of the best ones.

I second the recommendation, and am stoked for the second season. The first was a lot of fun; I think the episode where Luis tries to round up a crew to deliver a beatdown was my favorite of S1.

I hear they got out at 5 every day at Emily Overruled, at least until some jackass showed up on set with a lot of opinions.

Justice for Mister Mxyzptlk!

The white streak in the center of her hair and stitches on her face have me thinking Bride of Frankenstein, so whether or not that’s the same as a zombie is open to debate.

The willingness to randomly go full musical number while at the same time being the kind of show that makes fun of shows that go full musical number. That’s the 30 Rock touch.

“Sergeant Retcon, when did you get here?”
“I’ve been here all along!”

“Anyway, in gay news, Laura Dern fell.”

I’ve been a fan since the early days as well, but three seasons in a row now the writers have relied on Pat suffering some kind of breakdown in the penultimate (or final) episode to suddenly drop a reality check on the entertainment-industry madness that the rest of the cast has been preoccupying themselves with.

One of the easiest songs to learn to play on guitar, that one is. Only two chords!

It feels like if it’s being ordered for takeout or delivery, the smart play is to put the hot glop in a sealed plastic tub and the buns & trimmings in a separate container(s), for assembly when it reaches its destination. That does add a few pennies in packaging, but a 50c surcharge would surely cover that if your

Alas, Nick Fury is probably the *last* person Wakanda wants hanging around, what with his bold takes on who gets to keep what secrets. They much prefer Everett Ross, who they can run circles around. But there’s always hope for a team-up!

Who among us is perfect, I ask you?

Personally, I have never been a big Seinfeld fan (for example, I was quite satisfied by the finale when consequences finally arrived for 179 episodes worth of shitty behavior) but I am a sucker for the sitcom premise where two characters switch personalities, so this was one of my favorite episodes.

I haven’t been bothered too much by the characters, with one exception — I’ve been having problems getting over the recasting of Jonathan Kent. Jordan Elsass made the right choice in prioritizing his mental health over a job on television, but Michael Bishop still doesn’t feel quite right to me in the role. It kind of

They have managed some pretty interesting juxtapositions. Last season’s over-arching plot was an attempt to merge the Bizarro universe (or a Bizarro universe, anyway) with ours, and S&L’s ordinarily pretty realistic and grounded milieu incorporated some classic Bizarro weirdness, like a shot of people playing pool
