This looks really good, thanks for the heads-up!

(One small request: you got N.K. Jemisin’s name right on the first mention but spelled it with two Es thereafter.)

I mean, it was an affectionate groan, but still.

I guess I forgot about that — Stargirl’s Earth is apparently Earth-2, home of the JSA (as it is in the comics) and I’d be willing to bet we’ll still get a decent amount of crossover action there, since JLA/JSA crossovers are the original “hey let’s get the whole gang together” tradition.

I like it!  That has a lot of potential, especially if you also bring in Spartan/John Diggle, who works for ARGUS in the present and won’t want to hear about how bad things can get (and he’s already on the hook for running a Suicide Squad, so lots of meaty character-questions-their-own-motives opportunity there).

You know, I love the idea of a crossover with Black Lightning, but it’s hard to imagine one of the white superheroes dropping in on that show without creating a serious problem with tone. Merging the Earths is already going to mean that President I Didn’t Recognize Her But She Seems Nice is (now) ultimately in charge

I was also pleased that at least all of the CW side of the Berlantiverse is now in the same toybox. The multiverse does make for some interesting stories and an easy way to do “what-ifs” outside of regular continuity (I’m still hoping we eventually get an Earth-3 story with Power Ring, Ultraman, Superwoman and the

I recall that they didn’t really manage to save everybody from all the Earths with their spaceships and gateways gambit. I think there may have only been a couple billion more people in toto, and my guess is that the ones who were re-imagined will tend to be the ones that were important to Ollie/Spectre and the Paragon

A tasteful, understated face tattoo can be quite charming, but I still can’t get used to the earlobe gauges.

This was definitely the down episode of the five; I was playing on my tablet for most of it and didn’t feel like I missed much. Other than the Ezra cameo, it was largely skippable — something I seem to remember from the comic-book version of this story, too, actually. The “reversing the bad stuff and stopping the bad

...the kid in me that worked a comic shop for most of the 80's and was blown away by ‘89 Batman is still endlessly fascinated that we live in a time where there’s so many big screen versions of everything I read then.

Even a decade (more or less) in, it still seems so strange to me that we have a sprawling TV empire based on the DC Universe that’s centered around Green Arrow of all characters, and gradually built out around that to incorporate most of the second-string heroes and almost completely ignores the traditional trinity of

Personally, I felt like “You have failed this city” had jumped the shark after this moment:

Con Knive In.

This particular American is not scared of teeny-tiny things, no matter how venomous (viruses and bacteria can be deadly too!) but there are rules about how big a bug (insect or arachnid) is allowed to be. If it’s bigger than my thumb, it has to die or at least stay out of my sight.

To be honest, this whole show sounds like somebody saw this episode of Scrubs and thought “This was made to be a series!”

Let’s not forget that music has other ways into the cultural mainstream besides selling records and being played on the radio, too. Think about TV and movie soundtracks in the last decade — are they primarily R&B and hip-hop now, or are there a lot of rock songs, piano ballads, and assorted other genres being

Hot take: Lenny’s first four albums are all very good rock/soul albums, with “Are You Gonna Go My Way”, “Is There Any Love In Your Heart?”, “Sister”, and “Eleutheria” being particular highlights of that release.

On my way out of Fort Worth (riding the rails!) I passed a self-serve car wash called “Squirt, Wipe & Go.”  Some people just DNGAF, I guess.
