I don’t like the Grammy categories. I think they’re designed to allow white people to win because they would lose if they had to go up against Black artists toe to toe.

Kudos to the youngsters for approaching this head on. Bullying is one of the biggest problems we have inside and outside of our communities. It seems to be the American way of life. Children often learn bullying tactics from adults so we need to address this with both children and adults. Good luck to us because we’re…
Would love to take this Master Class and am thinking of getting a subscription, but would prefer Charles M. Blow instead of John McWhorter.
I’m here for this.
Tell it to the cop who pulls her over because she looks Black. Tell it to the guard at Saks who follows her in the store because she looks Black. Tell it to the congress person who shouts out in the House that she’s a liar because she looks Black. Tell it them about “facts.”
Kudos to the astute parents who prepare children for the world they will face. Privilege is not passed from a white parent to a Black or BIPOC child. The sooner children learn this the better they will be. Just watched Colin In Black And White and Kaepernick had to learn this on his own and it wasn’t easy.
I don’t like Ken Burns telling our stories about us and our culture. I’m skipping this.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time and I enjoyed reading about it! Glad to hear they were kind and gracious to you. Thanks for telling us about it!
That was just perfect.
I’m hoping to read a tribute from Tasha Smith who was once close to MKW.
Not only does he consider himself a genuis, but one on par with Jerry Lee Lewis. Lord ha’ mercy.
Don’t know what Zeke could have stopped, but I do know Artest is lucky he ran up into the stands at the Palace in Auburn Hills. He might not have come back down had he pulled this in Cobo Hall in the heart of Detroit.
Burton is an excellent actor who deserved better roles than some he had. Yes, he should be the next face of Jeopardy. I never cared for Trebek, was a fan of Art Fleming (the original host) and would look forward to seeing Burton at the helm. Here’s hoping he gets the job.
A quote by M. Angelou comes to mind: When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.
I’m in the middle of a cross-country move and would only consider states where I could indulge legally. Ended up in Michigan. Have been toking/baking for over 50 years and I can no longer do it undercover.
Congrat’s to Tiffany and Johnatha. Was hoping Tiffany would get both weekend days, but this is good.
