Recognizing the existence of bail systems also recognizes that they are typically made available at the courts’ discretion. Ergo, “bail denied, suspect is a public risk” which may not be too much of a stretch in this situation.

You can dismiss your trolls, especially the ones who side with sex traffickers.

The term “genre-defining” here means “it’s basically a bunch of derivative stuff slapped together” andthere’s not a lot of other positive things to say about any of it”

Welp, it’s the beginning of the end of Reddit.

Yeah, but that’s not in isolation is it? After a trilogy of “badly written” movies about Rey, people aren’t interested in the character. It doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with Daisy Ridley.

People who want to see what Daisy Ridley can do with a decent script? People who aren’t scared of girls?

Outside of the reactionary neckbeards, most of the sequels’ critics had no problem with the cast. These characters deserve another chance with different writers.

When the Star Wars sequels came out, a lot of the most critical “fans” claimed their criticism had nothing to do with the leads being a woman and a black man. It was the “bad writing” they were criticizing!

So ..... once it’s public, it will be run for the shareholders and not the users. Just like every other public company. In other words the IPO will destroy Reddit.  Also - Reddit doesn’t actually make anything. Apparently Wall Street hasn’t learned from the DotCom bust and the Tech Bros.

Established automakers can pull off a funky concept car, but Tesla doesn’t have enough history or core models to be putzing

Oh c’mon, you can’t do a whole article about Toriyama’s mechanical creations and not include a SINGLE Caramelman from Dr. Slump!

Caramelman No 1

I wish someone would tell Jason Blum that the Exorcist is not a franchise, has never been a franchise, and can’t really be a franchise. It was a movie that broke new ground, it spawned a slew of imitators that turned its innovations into tropes, and now revisiting those tropes seems tired.

If you allow the word, any word, to fade away, then you just gave cover to some people guilty of that to hide behind. Never let down the pressure.

I’m aware of ‘everyone being a narcissist’ or a little bit of narcissism as it is important for the ego and even the superego, but NPD is not that rare due to our culture encouraging it as well as ASPD. It’s seen as rare due to the nature of the personality disorder, it’s rarely diagnosed. There is a reason a lot of

I read your first paragraph in Dennis Hopper's coked out "Apocalypse Now" voice and it really works.

Zack Synder’s fans: “He’s a poet. A genius. A master storyteller whose incredible vision is wasted on his critics.”

Always found it somewhat morbidly fascinating that one director could take the most fundamental aspects of each profoundly well-known character and say “ehh, you know what, fuck it, this sucks,” and then years later STILL think he was right.
