Just a heads up, $wag Messiah is noted troll universalamander. Best not to reply.

That’s actually what they’re trying to do, and it’s a big part of the problem. It’s also failing miserably. The AI-generated first drafts are garbage, and the translators have to go back to the original Japanese and start from scratch in almost every case. They’re also paying these translators significantly cheaper

Good subtitles can make or break a film/show, if you can’t understand the language. I loved Let The Right One In and saw it several times in the theater, and never purchased it because the DVD subtitles were notoriously bad.

Kinda wish no one would cover the Winnie the Pooh torture porn movies. Don’t give oxygen (free publicity) to that sort of thing.

Do...do you think they can just “hire” a new publisher? You do know that’s now how that works, right? Like, Marvel is the publisher.

and there’s little Reddit can do about it.

I mean, he kind of has to. He only has about a year to make it.

This is gonna be a brutally terrible movie.

This might work since he’s not writing this. This way he can focus on the visuals (which is his strengths).

As long as it’s not Trevorrow.

Pretty much everything about Nimona was superior animation. The writing, the voice acting, the artistry, the rapid world development ... it just outstrips any current (non-Ghibli) contender. (and this from a pretty jaded sour ol’ critic)
