Textbook narcissist. What a manipulative piece of shit.
“major Theater Kid energy” --- Shudder and squirm 🤮
He’s been a producer/exec producer on all the Evil Dead stuff since the first movie.
Delenn would be proud.
Be Proud , We are the grey we stand between the Darkness and the Light
Nothing
Correct. It’s something that I don’t find bad either, but there is such a sea of blah “just okay” out there.
Monica was kind of a nothing character in WandaVision. Teyona Parris did what she could with the, frankly, pretty shitty material she was given to work with and the character ultimately failed to leave an impression
I liked Captain Marvel more than most people seem to and I think your assessment more or less matches mine. It was a perfectly cromulent movie and I felt and feel that it was worth the money and time I spent watching it. I was absolutely looking forward to an eventual sequel and wished that she’d had a larger role in E…
Disagree with Captain Marvel being a bad film, but I agree with the rest, especially the idea that it’s death by a thousand cuts. This is also why a lot of the hand-wringing about ”why this film?” falls flat because people tend to concentrate on the one factor that killed it.
I’ve been saying the same thing over and over.
You’re the first person I’ve seen say “this was always going to be a failure” who isn’t slinging dog-whistles for various forms of bigotry, so thank you.
I’ll keep saying it until I’m blue in the face: The Marvels was ALWAYS going to be a failure, irrespective of its quality.
Captain Marvel is a bad film, full stop. Yes, it made a billion dollars, but a massive part of that was women viewers, who otherwise didn’t give a shit about Marvel or the MCU, coming out in droves…
I didn’t care much for GvK, primarily because of the Mecha Godzilla angle, but these movies just work for me otherwise.
This is a pretty good trailer and I think the film will be fun, but the thought of the antagonist just being an evil Kong sounds incredibly dull when there are so many other classic monsters we still…
Yup, their version of Kong is really the best thing the series has. Not that I have a problem with their version of Godzilla. No problem whatsoever. But Kong is really where the series is most confortable.
The thing I really appreciate about these movies is the spectacular level of dumbness to which they commit themselves. There’s no effort to ground the action in any kind of plausibility, like having a scientist character namedrop Einstein-Rosen Bridges in a Marvel movie. It’s just straight-up 19th Century Hollow Earth…
“There are only three real monsters, kid: Dracula, Blacula, and Son of Kong!”
Yes, he’s always been part of the Spartan program (it’s greatest product!) and has never actually, as a character, shown any interest in emotionally processing it. That has been shunted off to other Spartans in the program (Naomi-010, Serin Osman, ect). The Halo show combines The Master Chief (a character who in the…
The biggest issue with any Halo adaptation is that there are two key parts of the Halo world-building and universe:
