Yes so you are effectively "compounding" the boost. I'm not even close to an expert on the subject but most of the setups I've seen are on drag cars so my rational conclusion would be that it's not optimal for throttle response.

It's called a "compound" set up, and if done right can make HUGE amounts of boost, if done wrong can make HUGELY successful youtube videos. Ford used it on their 6.4LA powerstroke diesel from08-2010.
