Actually I don't know that it does-I only mention it in my comment because the author mentions it in the articles as being related to Turkey in the Straw. Either way, no one would have let me learn negative lyrics about black people in my house-no self-hatred was tolerated! lol

I had the biggest laugh. It was so cute until it got to that line and then it sounded like something out of a rap song out of nowhere. (I am black, if you need to know.)

I learned both "Do Your Ears Hang Low" and "Turkey in the Straw" from KidSongs tapes. They both had modified lyrics that were not racist. I heard about it later, but as long as people aren't singing the old lyrics now then let the melody be reborn as something better than it was in the past is my best hope.

I'm never mad at the restaurant, just the late f*ck who's holding up my meal. In Miami this is a constant scenario. If I'm running late, I let my friends know to sit and if there's space, they can just order for me so I eat as soon as I sit down. If there's not space I figure it out when I get there.

If Klingons had a rock band it would be a lot like this.

YAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS!!!! GLORY!!

And this is from the current film he's on set for?

Who does he think he is?! RIGHT? I have things to do! I have men whom I can actually have access to to locate!

My sorority was full of all these badass feminists. When we weren't busy raising thousands for the local children's hospital, our members were producing Vagina Monologues through the Women's Studies Student's Association, running campus-wide philanthropy events and being about our shit. Your mileage may vary.

Anything with Kermit is epic, but him wilding out with Kermit like that?! Bring it again!

I avoid dating like the plague as of late. It seems like STDs and mindf*cking. Watching this is painful and yet I know it is inspired by several thousand actual occurrences.

So the 1991 Film The Josephine Baker story is what then exactly?... It WAS made for TV, but I've seen it. It's a thing.

I need someone to get me a copy with the English Captioning-so good I watched it twice! (Thankfully Telelmundo had English captioning.)
