I’m pretty sure that A.I. has the bleakest ending of any movie, ever.
I’m pretty sure that A.I. has the bleakest ending of any movie, ever.
Oh, yeah. There are two other episodes that people don’t seem to talk about much as tearjerkers as well that always get me. “Time Keeps on Slippin’” (Fry REARRANGES the STARS for Leela! And she never gets to see it! Ugh!) and “The Devil’s Hands Are Idle Playthings” (Fry literally makes a deal with the devil to impress…
This episode is a good barometer for sociopathy. Are you watching this episode with someone and they don’t cry? Probably a good idea to never speak to that person again.
I feel like you win because the rest of this thread is KNOWN tear-jerker movies that everyone with a damn heart cries at.
God, yeah, it is. It’s fucking brutal. As well as the scene where Harry thinks he’s going to die so he goes to sacrifice himself and he’s walking through the woods with the spirits of everyone he’s lost. I. LOSE. MY. SHIT. Everytime I read it.
I don’t know how dumb you can call these though? I feel like 90% of all people who are predisposed to cry at movies are going to cry at all of these.
The songs are so great, and I loved it as a little kid, but MAN it does not hold up for me at all. The sidekick scenes are still the best (and I still die laughing at the scene where the chef is trying to cook Sebastian) but Ariel is an obnoxious-ass teenager.
What About Bob? was my favorite movie as a kid. Honestly, I think it still holds up. It maybe hasn’t aged that well but I still laugh at it quite a bit.
I think I might not have made my point very clear. I’m not dragging LV1 at all; the producers found a good plot and they ran with it. I’m also VERY aware that every season’s cast was manipulated into fighting with each other. The point that I was making was after that season did so well in ratings, the RW producers…
They would have gotten you even if you had never set foot in that dealer. That’s how cookies work.
Equity mining.
I can’t speak for all dealerships, but the one that I work at (which is a small, family-owned dealership and not a franchise), we absolutely will take you off the list if you tell us to.
Modern Family has been honest-to-god bad for a few seasons now. How it continues to be nominated (let alone win) over and over baffles me.
Aren’t you annoyed that Michael McKean keeps getting snubbed? I sure am.
I didn’t think this season of Veep was that great, but yeah, she’s got that one locked up again. She’s always great, of course.
Came here to say this. It blows my mind how he keeps getting snubbed for BCS. He’s been consistently excellent (even more so this season than Banks, imo).
That season aired during my junior year of high school, and I missed quite a few episodes that were on from about sophomore year through my freshman year of college. I caught it when it was on, but it wasn’t appointment television for me like when I was younger (and to be fair, older also, because I watch the…
IIRC, they're all described as attractive. Meg is just going through an awkward phase in this one.
Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what happens. The whole plot of End of Watch involves him controlling people with his mind, as well as through some dumb game on a shitty tablet via hypnotization.
If you're referring to Brady, he was quite young in the books. And IIRC, not all that bad-looking, either.
