I’m going to be pedantic here and point out that I think you mean “cachet.”

The League did an episode where Taco couldn’t figure out which was which... it was a pretty good one.
This is why.
I’m pretty sure it’s a play on “menses,” i.e. your period.
Yeah, he totally fucking did. This is a TERRIBLE idea in the first place, but perhaps if you’re trying to sell something to women, maaaaaybe don’t insult them? Fuck this guy forever.
I thought Songs About Jane was a pretty decent record, honestly. Everything after that makes me want to blow my brains out, but SAJ still holds up.
I'm not wild about Codes and Keys either, but I really can't help but love "Stay Young, Go Dancing."
They're hit-or-miss live, so I understand someone having had a bad experience. The first time I saw them, in 2004, they were just fucking AWFUL, but in the three times since that I've seen them (twice in '08 and once in '15) they were unbelievably good - the first show in '08 is maybe the best one I've ever been to,…
Oh man, me too. I really can't do punk anymore.
I love Deja Entendu so much that I've always had a hard time with Devil… as much as I objectively recognize that it's a great album, and I definitely don't want a band to keep making the same album over and over, it's still a harder listen for me.
I don't like Kings of Leon either. Except for "Four Kicks" and "Closer" which I feel like I shouldn't like? But I do, so whatever.
"King Rat" fucking rules, and it's awesome live. Also, yeah, I agree with you for the most part - I find We Were Dead eminently listenable and I think it's a great album. I like Good News a lot (and I still listen to "Bukowski" probably once a week) but I agree that We Were Dead is better, as a whole.
Yeah, I feel the same way. I like it but it hasn't grabbed me in a way that all the others did. "Pistol" is easily the worst song they've EVER done, though, and maybe one of the worst songs I've ever heard, period.
I really loved BNL when I was younger too, and I dropped out at the same you did… with the exception of "War on Drugs" which is a fucking gorgeous song. Everything else they put out after '01 that I heard (other than that one song) has been garbage.
My Jeopardy knowledge tells me you’re correct about Ford and Rockefeller, as it was a Final Jeopardy question not too long ago, I believe.
I live in OKC too and am also interested to hear what everyone has to say about this. I personally think Cam is going to be pretty good, but he’s not yet, and I think this was an absolute steal of a trade for us.
On that same note, I also like “an unkindness of ravens.” Also a big fan of “a flamboyance of flamingos,” “a conspiracy of lemurs,” and “a rumba of rattlesnakes.” Collective nouns are the best...
Yeah... I think you described it pretty well but it was tough for me to explain why I hated it so much for awhile! What you said is pretty much nail on the head, and I also felt like she was... condescending often? Either way, I was quite excited to read it and very disappointed upon finishing it.
I think you mean What’s the Matter With Kansas? But I wholeheartedly co-sign that pick.
Agreed. I hated Nickel & Dimed, actually.
