Listen, the book she wrote about her husband and the Kennedys (What Remains) is so so good, and completely devastating. I cried through the whole damn thing, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks after I finished it. I’d recommend it, honestly. It’s tough to get through but Radziwill is a beautiful writer.

Only backwards...

Unfrosted Pop-Tarts are actually WORSE for you than frosted ones. Your argument is invalid.

My rule is that whenever someone tells me NOT to bring food to a party, I’ll bring booze. I feel weird about showing up empty-handed!

I really really liked Totally Biased. Did you know he has a show on CNN now called United Shades of America? It’s super good.

So you might just end up with a Miata anyway? Isn’t the 124 basically just a reskinned Miata?

Try Goodwill. The ones near me always have TONS for $1 apiece. In my experience people tend to want too much for them at garage sales.

Interestingly, Pete Postlethwaite is the only actor in the movie who speaks the lines in iambic pentameter, even though the whole of Romeo and Juliet is written that way. (He's my favorite performance in that movie also.)

I feel you. Hey, remember when Howard Dean torpedoed his presidential run for being just a *little* too excited?? Sigh.

I don’t know that I’d recommend tripping when you have a big problem on your brain... It can definitely cause your mind to go to bad places, or get caught in a thought loop for hours, and a bad trip is NO fun.

I bet they like someone just talking to them like a normal person, though! :)

The thing about "Push" that a lot of people miss, though, is that in the song, it's the woman who is abusive.

The Sundays' version ALWAYS ALWAYS makes me think of Fear!

I can't hear "Telephone Line" by ELO without thinking of that scene in Billy Madison where Steve Buscemi puts on lipstick.

Yes, I’ve had this same fear for a long time. I’m not sure that film actually can do it justice. Hopefully she can do a lot with such a big budget though.

I had a hard time starting off with The Colour of Magic. Just a friendly suggestion - I’d start with one of the Death books, probably Mort, if I were you. They’re all good, though.

I’d like to see some of that too. There’s Preacher on AMC at least!

Dear Hollywood, D.C.,

Same. When Hillary’s little girl asks if she can bring her cat, I lose it EVERY TIME.

Oh, I’m 100% with you. I’ve karaoked “Otto Titsling” a few times - it always goes over REALLY well with women over 30, while those under tend to just look confused about this weird-ass song about bras.
