The more people crow about getting things done when Sanders cannot, the more it reveals the inability of literally every other sitting senator since 2007 and literally every other sitting house rep between 1991 and 2007 to get the things we actually want done done.

I was never crazy about Top Gun as a teenager, but watching it now it’s really amazing that for most of its length the only thing at stake is a good performance evaluation at work.

Lukewarm take: Top Gun, the original, was vastly overrated. While many recognized it for being trope-y, shallow, and over-the-top even when it was released in 1986, watched today it’s practically a comedic parody, with many parts being unintentionally funny and flat out ridiculous.
