I’ve known people who haved worked for famous people. Believe me, this is nothing. My demands would seem far weirder.

Honestly? It was probably just fear. First, most people don’t know NDAs can’t restrict speech w/r/t a crime, and even if they do know, they understand that the individual that requested it will likely pursue litigation, meritless or not. She’s found her voice and won’t be silenced.

None of this seems that unreasonable to me.

Thankfully, between the time when she signed that NDA and today, GoFundMe was invented. Weinstein can sue but he can only bankrupt her if we don’t support her through something like that.

It’s so public now that he’d be insane to sue her for breaking the NDA. His reputation is in tatters, he’s toxic, but he can still make it worse by suing her. He wouldn’t be able to go out in public again (even assuming he stays out of jail).

He will be bankrupted if he attempts to sue every person that breaks an NDA. It’s up to about 30 as of today.

It’ll cost her the legal fees when he sues her (which will surely be a lot), but he’ll absolutely lose. NDAs cannot cover illegal acts.
