She has a long history with NASA who hired her to bring women and minorities into the agency after seeing her break color boundaries in Star Trek. Without Nichelle Nichols, Sally Ride would never have been in NASA.

Star Trek was such a refuge when I was a kid. My younger sisters still tease me that I went into a trance when it came on. (not Uhura related, but I had to explain Kobayashi Maru to babysis today. Regarding our childhood)

The BBC famously taped over a great deal of Doctor Who, a Beatles live TV performance, and a whole slew of stuff that’s culturally significant. I’m sure nobody was taping and keeping too many news reports. I bet there’s gold…

Wasn’t this lady on an episode of Hoarders? No joke, there was a woman with thousands of VHS tapes, multiple VCRs and TVs throughout her house. How many like her can there be?
