The thing with projectors is that no matter how bright they get, they can never show black as darker than the white/grey screen they are being projected onto. Contrast ratios can never be comparable.

He’s directing two episodes, but no real info about an appearance by Riker or any of the other TNG crew. Just a rumor about Brent Spiner making a cameo.

Nothing is more telling than this quote from the article:

I’m still not sure why Cersei didn’t just kill everyone when they were all just standing around defenseless. She could’ve won the war in an instant. The whole situation makes no sense after all the talking about not being able to trust Cersei in the first couple episodes.  Why would they trust her not to kill them all?

But you can’t change the past, his presence, no matter how much he stayed in hiding, would have resulted in changes. It just doesn’t fit what they’ve outlined. The characters jump back in time using nothing other than the wrist mounted devices in the movie, no time machine required. And even though he’s in an

Remember, you can’t change the past according to the rules in this movie. Cap travelling back to the 40's created its own branching timeline where Peggy never had the family that she had in timeline A. Seems like Cap went back, lived his life, and then when Peggy passed away he put the suit back on and traveled back

There’s also no way a ton of people didn’t kill themselves after the snap.  Not everyone becomes a sword wielding vigilante when their whole family gets dusted.  People will definitely be coming back to a really messed up world.  Very curious how Spider-Man: Far From Home will deal with this, since it’s supposed to

Such a great show. Comedy Central also aired the British version at like 1:00am on the weekends back in the early 00's.  Loved stumbling across it.  First thing I saw was a dude in a turtle outfit, slowly crawling across an intersection, and when he’s about 2/3 of the way across, another person in a bunny suit goes

No, not wrong. I have no idea how that was supposed to make any sense, let alone how the torpedo got through the shields and hull in the first place. Or how a Commander and an Admiral were somehow unable to defuse a Federation photon torpedo given like 15 minutes. Shouldn’t that be super simple? At least when the

It seemed to go on for so long. The shields never seemed to go down, even had multiple hull breaches when the shields were at like 80%. Star Trek has always been a bit loosey goosey with how much damage happens on the bridge when the shields are still up, but this one stretched way too far.  What are the shields even

That’s also one hell of a blast door. The torpedo blew up and destroyed a good third of the saucer section, while Pike stood behind the door like 5 meters from the torpedo and was completely fine.

Maybe you should watch again at the 9:58 timestamp.  Remote Destruct fails, they load the torpedoes and fire.  Even shows a closeup of the control panel and the tactical officer pressing the Fire button.

No, they fired three torpedoes.  Jump to 9:58 in the episode.

Can’t agree more with the criticism of everyone just going along with the plan without considering alternatives, especially just giving up on the clear solution of destroying the data. Oh the small science vessel raised its shields? Pretty sure the Federation’s flagship can just fire all phasers and a few more

The most mind-numbingly boring 4 days of my life were spent on a train going from Milwaukee, WI to Portland, OR. This was back in the late 90's, so technology to help pass the time was virtually non-existent aside from a Discman and the small collection of CD’s that I had been able to buy as a teenager.

There are also points in the show where you can actually interfere and change what happens, even in otherwise passive moments. Try jeering the next time the snake handler is about to “kiss” the snake, and see what happens!

This story reminds me a bit of the Tested.com video series about bad ass stunt performer Zoe Bell learning how to drift. So cool to see new folks finding fun ways to burn some rubber!

CBS All Access is a terrible service. I subscribed to get access to Discovery, but will cancel immediately after watching the finale. The library of content available on the service is embarrassing. Shows that they list as available are often missing either individual episodes, or even entire seasons altogether.
