Is it worth it? I turned it off after s1e2 for throwing Dove off a roof. I know she lived, but....nope.

The issue for me was that when Luke saw that his nephew had misunderstood his actions, and had turned evil as a result, he would go after him. Instead he sulked. Luke is the guy who could see the good in Darth Vader, but not his own nephew? It didn’t fit the character. Maybe it’s a “real” reaction but these are heroes

But but MARY SUE AND SJW and and...

Yeah. Lucas had lots of good ideas, they just needed to be filtered and refined (which is why the Prequels suffered - no one told him “no”). I will always contend that on the whole, TLJ was the right direction to go. I wish they’d had the courage to continue with what it set up.

not all of George’s ideas are good.

For me the issue wasn’t that Luke was a cranky old hermit but that the justification was, “My nephew is having a bad dream. I’d better kill him.” And that’s all we get. Like if you put something like, “I now see that the dark side had grown and blinded me” I can wrap my head around that. Maybe Snoke/Palpatine is

Honestly, I don't know how people thought that TFA could have led to any other version of Luke. People don't hide themselves in the most secluded place they can find because they are eager to fight.

That is good news.

(has Rogue One flashbacks...)

After the interview, Tatiana’s reaction was:

Well here’s your problem - this is the wrong Tatiana Maslany. Little-known secret in Orphan Black, “Tatiana Maslany” is actually a set of four identical quadruplets who are all credited under one name. But they probably only need one (maaaaybe two) for She-Hulk, so the Tatiana who was asked clearly isn’t one that’s

I honestly forgot Aqualad was on the show.

when Book says “she’s a queen!” to the dude pointing a blaster at him, it just makes me very excited for this season. very ready for a star trek character with a heart of gold and a rough exterior who will start fights and stare down death over a cat. move over data.

And do Themyscira and Atlantis not have equivalents of MI6 or the CIA?

(Now I’m imagining a Themysciran Bond series)

“Duet” really sets the tone for Kira’s character.

Um... “Woof woof arf”?

I know this is less than a shot in the dark and more a boomerang aimed at the moon, but I kind of hope that the wider exposure of the very, very good Swamp Thing show generates enough interest for a revival. If freaking DEXTER can get a come back, Swamp Thing deserves one.

..... and why one of them didn't just swoop in and conquer all of Federation space once we lost warp...

Possibly. I’m hoping they encounter some Romulans as some point because Discovery left before it was revealed that they are so close to Vulcans in appearance. Also the Borg would be an interesting surprise for Discovery.

Rodenberry inspiration and rebuilding gives me a weird Andromeda vibe with the knowledge that this shall at least surpass that (and be free of the taint of Sorbo).
