Really well written, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and hearing your perspective. I feel horrible that you feel like an outsider even within nerdier communities and hope that us readers and comment-ers here can make you feel at home at Kotaku. In a lighter note, how are you enjoying the new update to New Leaf? It has

I mean, its probably true. Just like the gamecube, people will pick this up years later and realize that it has some great games on it! (albeit with the occasional wacky control scheme)

As a kid in college I can attest to that statement

It all looks fairly cool and retro, but there is just something fundamentally off-putting to watch the very kid’s cartoon styled intro turn into a giant zombie gore fest. It just wasn’t what I was expecting based on style (but what was obvious because of the game it was made for).

I think “painfully realistic” is the most apt description for some of these simulators I’ve ever heard. That being said, good on him for creating out a great and positive audience!

I did get the skin I wanted: Dr. Junkenstein! The only problem is I got it FIVE TIMES including twice in one box! I wish they would change the chance of getting a skin after you receive it... (I understand why they don’t from a business perspective but am still slightly salty). I did end up also getting Pumpkin Reaper

As you start to get close, you have to say “deadeye’s ready”. When she says what, scream “It’s high noon!!” and climax. Guaranteed to please 100% of women, 0% of the time.

How does it feel to be the representation of the vague entity that pushes everyone down in some way? #downwiththeman?

Some of those Adventure 2 Easter Eggs are creepy AF. I think its on the Underwater Mine level in which he is peeking out from a half-open door in a dark hallway. Unfortunately they removed most of the cameos in the Gamecube port though

But if they make a figure for Big the Cat, they will also need to make one for FRRRROOOOOOOGGGGGYYYYYYY!!!!

I will still sit down and play Rouge Squadron II from time to time. That game has the best flying physics/controls of any other Star Wars game I’ve ever played (its even better than its own sequel!)

Any backwards compatibility is most likely going to be virtual console stuff and maybe 3DS cartridges? (Maybe) But the big N has been adding a lot more recent stuff to the Wii U VC recently so I could see them making VC ports for some of the more popular Wii U and 3DS games. I could also see them making cartridge

While that game is one of the best controlling and playing platformers that has been made in the past 10 years, the soundtrack was incredible. I think that it gives DKC2 a run for its money. The only reason I don’t call it better is because it reuses songs from the original trilogy. Granted, it reuses them masterly,

Kudos to Blizzard. That was super endearing and cute and made me care for the super turret that is bastion! (if they played this instead of any bastion play of the game, I’d like the character a lot more)

You gotta get in real close and hit it before it hits the ground. Its extremely rare but impressive when it happens

Real talk, that reflective surface in the video (first appears around 43 seconds in) must be hella hot. I can’t imagine dancing on something like that

Bro

If the NX is as crazy and different as today’s Eurogamer article suggests (and runs smoothly), do you think it can be a hit in today’s market or a hit with the so-called “hardcore” gamers (and not just Nintendo fanboys like myself..)?

I’ve been wanting to try these games since I adored X-Men Legends II. That game was awesome and I’m excited to try out the quasi-sequels with a much more diverse roster! (However I can wait until a steam sale and pick these up for cheaper than $60....)

Yes! Finally something to justify me buying a bunch of AC amiibo without having a game to use them for! My $13 a piece desk decorations are paying off!
