Yeah, I understand that. My point was only that Biden has been up for very powerful positions before, such as senator and VP, and Kavanaugh was up for his first seriously powerful position (and a lifetime appointment at that). But again, please don’t think that I’m discounting her or am one of the ones asking ‘why…
I’m in no way saying we should be asking this, but I would like to point out that Kavanaugh was relatively unknown before and Biden is not. I don’t feel like the question is the same in that context. Having said that, I also don’t think that means she has no right to speak up now. The truth is, he probably did it. It…
Thank you. I told my sister that it would probably be a lot easier if she was just two months older because I could occasionally sit her up surrounded by toys for 20-30 minutes, but it is what it is. Luckily I don’t need a lot of sleep.
Yeah, she’s something. I’m telling myself it’s because she’s threatened by me... LOL. Helps salve the burn a little.
Thanks. Just knowing that a few others recognize this helps me, believe it or not.
Yeah, I have one coffee a day. Supposedly only 1% of the caffeine gets in the milk. But I’m trying to be good about it, because she is so very bad at naps. I think the tea I drink is so strong and the coffee so weak that I’m not certain the caffeine content is all that different, though.
I know this isn’t a competition, but, there are things you can do with a 4 1/2 yo, as she listed. Our child is 4 month’s old and there is no option for screen time, no option to even just have her hold a damn toy. Oh and she’s one of those babies who DOESN’T NAP. We’re lucky to get two 20 minute naps.

There are two truths I’ve decided about my childhood upbringing in rural east Texas:
I believe it. People are fucking assholes.
You should have screamed at her or at least given her a sound dressing down. She’ll do that to other places, too, not just a doctor’s office.
OK, I’d never want to apologize for a racist and it’s possible that’s exactly what this is, but I had aphasia for a while - a pretty severe form of it due to a concussion. During this time I worked full time and managed to get by, even though I never knew when an attack would happen. When an attack happened I often…
It takes a narcissist to defend a narcissist. Nothing shocking here.
Sorry, but this rubs me completely the wrong way. From the article:
I shared a studio with two other women. I had top bunk. We were all college educated, but we still barely made the bills.
Um, I know what SAHM means. That’s why I pointed out the author of the ad is definitely not a stay at home mom; she’s very much a working mom - a Silicon valley CEO. I mean I can’t verify any of that - I’m just quoting Jezebel’s source, the Twitter feed, but the more interesting take away is that women can’t win. We ge…
Everyone seems to have missed the fact that the CEO in that family is the MOM, not the dad. There is a very interesting conversation to have here, but it requires looking at our bias’s. People are jumping to the conclusion that some over-coiffed lady of leisure wrote this and it couldn’t be further from the truth. The…
The CEO is the wife, not the husband.
I agree, but there are many ways to say it. One demands introspection and... dare I say it... earnestness out of the respondent and the other might have felt like rhetorical snark. It’s the therapist’s job to clarify if they mean the first.
