Man, those Koreans know how to make a thrilling movie on a train, don’t they?

If Mark Waid is writing it, I’ll be reading it. Looks like an interesting concept, and also reminds me I need to finish reading Irredeemable and Incorruptible (and buy any collections I’m still missing).
The visuals of Half-Life 2 and Dishonored were imagineered by the same person, Viktor Antonov. ;)
Gravity gun was new. I was extremely miffed (and still am) that Valve removed tripmines and satchels and only slightly miffed they removed snarks, the Tau Cannon, and the overpowered Gluon gun from the original Half-Life for the vastly inferior weapon known as the Gravity Gun and the Pulse Cannon. Tripmines were the…
Haven’t played that one. I played dishonored recently, and while it wasn’t half life good, it was going in that direction. It was story driven (but the story wasn’t as good, and wasn’t as fleshed out), it was linearish, but provided a few different paths to get there. The dark mood was slightly reminiscent too.
It is no wonder it was so popular back in the days and why Half-Life 3 is so hotly desired. The only game I think I have seen to come even close to that in recent years is Deus Ex Human Revolution.
have a bit of introductory narration from Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan
I dunno. I found the hate from professional critics oddly aggressive for this film.
I love John Carter, but the reports at the time were that it would have to make $700 million worldwide to clear a profit. That’s a high bar for any film, let alone one with largely unfamiliar source material and a first time live action director.
Warcraft - which got terrible reviews and had no big name stars - made $430 million. It is a flop, because the marketing and production budgets were so high.
Meanwhile in the rest of the world.
Dude dies, is resurrected by a mysterious alien to fight other mysterious aliens. Said fighting is under force — if you fail the mission or run away, your head explodes. The scenes here where parts of the dude’s body are missing is a teleportation process.
That really looks good.
Literally all of those options are good. I would play TITS before Cold Steel just because Cold Steel kinda spoils a couple of things that happen in Liberl, though.
I enjoyed Cold Steel, but I liked it less than Trails in the Sky. Even though the characters gain more depth over the course of the game, I found the characters in Sky somehow more... charming. One reason might also be that Rean is the typical bland anime-protagonist. Estelle, even if you don’t like her, had a lot…
He’s Han Solo the White now.
Those stories can’t really hold a candle to Uchikoshi’s twists, TBH.
I think the climax of the second game would be way less effective if you haven't played the first.
While nobody should skip the first two games, people can skip the first game as there isn’t a lot in the first game that the 2nd game doesn’t cover. And the 3rd game is more of a sequel to the 2nd than the 2nd is to the 1st.
This “Kelvin Timeline” can’t be split off from the main timeline. It must be split off from another alternate timeline from the main timeline. This is the only way to solve the numerous continuity errors that crop up in the Kelvin Timeline that would not be explained by Nero going back in time and changing things.
