I think you’re underestimating the level of desperation among the lower income segment of the population. I sold my house earlier this year and had to clear out a bunch of similar project flotsam; nowhere near as much as David had, but enough to fill up a big storage tub plus a few extra pieces in the bed. Plenty of

Mustang SVO found the best way around this dumb rule:

Yeah, there’s not a lot of hard detail out there, but the marketing collateral makes it look like it’s a true 2kw sustained. Most RV A/C units are 13,500 BTU and a single 2kw generator struggles with the startup load, though there are hard start capacitors and various other contraptions to help with that. The mini

Actually I stand corrected - you can get the Lariat with the front bench seat.

Only XL and XLT can have the 40/20/40 front seat, and even then you can spec out the buckets with center console as optional. Lariat on up is the 5 passenger w/ front buckets only.

I’m seriously considering special ordering one of these as a replacement for my ugly old 3/4 ton Chevy, which some lowlife stole back in August.

Nah, I’m a healthy distance away from the hell-spawned parking lot they call I70.

My daily is a Bolt and it’s a riot in the mountains.

This is so badass. Just placed a deposit, supposedly for one of the first 50 units delivered in Spring 2021(!).

Wasn’t this Season 2 of Fargo?

Those wheels are giving me some serious nostalgia - I spent way too much time during my teens trying to make a set fit on my 260Z. The ‘84 was the only year of the 4 lug 300ZX and while the lug pattern was the same as the early Zs the offset was different, so dumb teenage me tried a seriously sketchy variety of

The only thing wrong with the Bolt- and I say this as a Bolt owner - is the fact that it looks like a potato. A futuristic potato, perhaps, but a potato nonetheless.

Nutso money for that Fulvia. You could import one from Europe for maybe half that, including all the shipping and customs charges.

Just here to point out that 3/4 ton / 350 V8/ 5 speed stick >>>>> 1/2 ton / 4.3 V6 / 4 speed stick.

With that kind of state incentive it would be crazy not to go for an EV. While the Hyundai / Kia twins are definitely the best of the current cheap EV crop I’d be willing to bet you could find a leftover 2019 Leaf+ (the long range version) for well under $20k once all the tax incentives are taken into account.

In your shoes I’d look long and hard at a Hyundai Kona EV or Kia Nero EV. Dunno why the Jalop staff never recommends EVs for these things but it seems like the perfect fit. Most people equate “fun to drive” with lots of off the line oomph, which EVs have in spades.

2015 and newer have the “Lizard” battery chemistry which more or less sorted out the degradation issue. My 2015 has almost 50k miles on it and LeafSpy (an app that lets you see lots of battery and other details) shows the state of health (SOH) at around 92% of new state. For perspective Nissan will replace the battery

I’ve had an incredibly stupid Fiero conversion idea floating around in my head for years that I haven’t been able to shake. The main reasons I haven’t tackled it yet are as follows:

Once upon a time I bought a 260Z parts car because the engine had supposedly been “rebuilt”. After I swapped the parts car motor into my car I found it leaked so much oil I had to keep a 5 quart container in the car and top it off at least every couple of days.

Love my Bolt. It’s a kick-ass little car that just happens to be electric. It’s not the car’s fault that both GM and your average Chevy dealer seem completely uninterested in selling electrics.
