Mazda's new Soul Red Metallic is awesome in person, especially on a sunny day. It's almost a hot-rod style candy apple red. Pics don't really do it justice.

Or possibly - just maybe - the tire wall is there because across that grassy field is another part of the racetrack, and it's better to have cars smash into a tire wall than into the cars coming down the other section of the track.

I rented the Impala SS version of this once in Seattle. It took me a while to figure out what an amazingly bland 300+ HP FWD car with terrible handling was actually good for.
