i agree with what you’re putting down here - this franchise gained momentum in the west for being distinctly japanese, not in spite of it. on the other hand i think it’s good to hear that they are challenging themselves and changing up the status quo, i wonder if something is lost in translation here or just missing

i just unlocked a memory of when i got cable tv in my teenage bedroom and my mom almost caught me wanking it to a runway show on some sort of fashion show. thank you for that.

ha. i just replied the same thing to someone else. i’m gonna quote myself for ya:

in those terms, i would be more mortified to be caught watching this woman’s twitch than watching one of her pornos. not sure what that says about me (or you) lol.

lol just watch real porn.

in theory, i like the idea that each device in my home acts as a bridge and strengthens the overall network. i do not want to share my internet with my neighbors though, and i definitely would want more control over tuning it.

i just disabled my ring cameras from doing sidewalk and it told me i wouldn’t be able to piggyback off of it anymore. idk how tiles the work though.

that would be a shit ton more of your (or your neighbors) data

my tv has steam link built into it and with a bit of workaround i can play games from other launchers on it. your mileage will vary on that but it works great for me.

i picked up a month of EA’s subscription service on pc to play it for $15, i think that’s a solid move for anyone else on the fence. i’m expecting a solid 7-8/10 game based on my personal tastes.

is 10 bucks really the straw breaking people’s backs? just say you’re waiting for a sale and you won’t look so pedantic.

the game sold too well. at most maybe some minor reworks may be done tuning up the systems (i expect the dlc to be this flavor) but the core game is what it is.

all this means is bug fixes and some dlc.

money laundering. at least in some instances. there are a lot of fools w/ money.

they aren’t punishing cheaters, these people make the cheats. we’re also talking (hundreds of?) millions of dollars, not someone tinkering a bit with free software.

honestly i’ve played about 2.5 hours now. i’ve paid full price for games i’ve bounced off harder. i also think gaming is a relatively cheap hobby and don’t sweat those purchases either way.

no minigames yet they are on the roadmap i believe.

yes, it felt like i expected it to, in a good way.

it’s launched on steam, so i’m sure with their robust input support you can rig up pretty much anything - a trackball mouse is the first thing that comes to my mind... but it’s been about 2 decades since i’ve played the MB arcade unit so i couldn’t remember what it actually feels like.

i backed this on indiegogo and was really looking forward to getting my key all month.
