was on the fence about sonic racers or CTR, but the former was on sale for 32 at amazon and the latter is still only 40. so i’m gonna do sonic for switch and CTR for ps4.

it’s a data mining scheme

i figured it also had to do with server traffic and cutting down on peak times, but yea, it’s annoying lol.

kind of off topic but i have weird issues with steam’s auto update. it always schedules updates at times when my computer is generally shut down, instead of just going for it when i open the steam app. it’s a little weirder than that. say i have 3 games that need updates; it will schedule them for 2 am, 6 am, and 10

there’s a whole subreddit for creepy garfield art

i can get behind what you’re saying, i think we’re kind of on the same page. all along i’ve been saying i still think it’s a cool sandbox. just not much of a game.

I always thought little big planet had terrible controls too lol

yea, i was in the beta, and have played the little big planet games. i tried all the big hits from the first wave and nothing i’ve seen in followups has changed my opinion. i haven’t discounted it entirely just as a creative outlet, and gateway to programming/dev in general. if you consider a tool over a game, that is

I still think it's a cool toy that will help people get their foot in the door or eventually seek out more powerful tools. But even the most impressive stuff is still just kind of a demo.

Everything is kind of janky or floaty or compromised, or ultimately just shallow. and I’m really not knocking anyone’s efforts, the work that goes into these kind of things is still impressive. There's just kind of an upper limit for what you can really do.

it’s really cool the things people can create in dreams, it’s a shame none of them are actually much fun to play.

I got it for free with a new laptop and that's basically my take away. Sucks for people who wanted to play for hundreds of hours (and they did mislead those folks) but for a 20-30 hour campaign it was fun enough for me.

the audio in general is kind of whack. it has quality moments for sure, so it’s not terrible across the board, but deacon’s cadence really is all over the place. he doesn’t pause for punctuation, and the whisper/yell volume is real.

Unable to tune into a stream atm but did notice this on the psn store yesterday. Seems like AA and looks like it could go either way on being too bland or being pretty decent. What's the buzz?

i don’t really use twitter. whats the handle?

I looked them up in between that comment and now. Their only notable project was the fear effect sedna thing that I didn't play myself, but remember hearing it was decent if you were a fan of the originals. So that is a mixed bag, hopefully we can say something better about this next project.

The Panzer Dragoon series is also getting something of a revival this year, with remakes of the first two games coming from the Polish game developer Forever Entertainment.

for me hzd was a solid 8/10 game. i expect something similar out of this game. it doesn’t look like top tier sony stuff but still pretty solid. this review doesn’t really concern me.

I had a lot of the same complaints about horizon zero Dawn. It didn't actually do anything new, really, but was very polished and mostly fun to play.

I actually enjoyed the campaign a lot at launch and then just moved onto other games. If it wasn’t a looter shooter they could have avoided so many issues lol.
