Weirdly I am the second guy on the thread to have learned on his dad's MGB-GT, though probably the first to do it with the parking brake on until my dad noticed the smell. The thing was juddering pretty bad but I guess he just figured I was bad at it. AND he blamed me for not taking the parking brake off. I was 14.

But! You did say it's a 911 fighter. Does it sound better than a 911? I think yes. And I love the 911.

Being generally conservative when it comes to road car paint, I don't like the unpainted carbon fiber parts, so I'd go black or dark gray. Or this purple, hot damn

I remember riding in one when I was about 17 and thinking it was a sweet ride compared to virtually everything else I'd ever ridden in. I can't remember the last time I saw one on the road though.

Those 7th gen cars were abysmal, but I actually think the shape of last generation Cougar has aged remarkably well. Dare I say those 1999 cars wouldn't look out of place rolling out of a factory today.

I can't off the top of my head think of a rule that would make a 12 second difference on a qualifying lap.

Ohhh baby. Yup. Also I find that features on Pagani tend to do a good job of showing us the sexy guts of the cars

Eh you know, this is a $2.whatever million dollar car because of engineering, technology, materials, and attention to detail, so why not show us that? Sorry I've seen enough of this kind of stuff. I want to see under the car. I want someone to squeeze a camera into the engine bay, the suspension. Show me the console

Yes, body colored, they'd be tolerable. I wonder why they're not—discoloration from engine heat / dirt? Even that would seem preferable to having them "discolored" from the day the car rolls out of the factory...

I would have to get it in a dark color to hide the obnoxious hood vents. Maybe they're functional, but they screw up the car for me.

Agree, but in the end it will always be too appealing to raise revenue with fines because it won't be called a tax hike. Ultimately though, if fines are too high they can be lowered through the political process.

I agree with some of that, thoughi think the "de Blasio sux" bit is at best unfounded. But I am really curious about the "parking tickets are unconstitutional" bit.

Or he's just trying to make up for revenue lost over the winter, when alternate side parking was suspended for what, like a solid month? And snow removal itself costs money. Of course you may be right, and Comrade Bill's entire reason for becoming mayor was to steal your money and give it to slimy union bus drivers,

All right everyone, last chance to get your F1 preseason whining in! I'll get started. Wah the cars look ugly, wah they make a different sound, wah there are regulations literally for the first time ever, wah no longer the pinnacle of motorsport despite still being the pinnacle of motorsport in every measurable way.

So, did people not realize that fatter rear tires would make them grip better? Was there a rule? Something about the tech or physics that I'm missing?

Wow. Exciting.

How many Trabants does one man need!? I bet the protesters were like "Yes! Free cars! ... Ah shit, never mind."

I've been street parking my '99 Forester in Queens all winter. For a solid month, the typical spot was defended by a fortress wall of gray ice, and abutted by arctic ridges. I spun a tire a grand total of 1 time.

I'm not especially surprised. The panel gaps in some pictures of the Zenvo have been shocking. And then there was the Leno "review" where he didn't even drive the thing. Fishy, thought I.

He's actually a pretty good play-by-play guy.
